The university offers affordable housing on campus - its hostels are recognized as one of the most inexpensive in the north of England. The educational institution has about 1200 rooms (most of the rooms are en-suite, with their own bathroom) on campus within walking distance from the educational buildings. Most of the students live in separate rooms (there are also double rooms) with a shared kitchen, corridor and bathroom. Another option for accommodation during study is to rent housing in the private sector for a reasonable fee.

The university is located in the northern region of England: the infrastructure of the university is located both in the city of Carlisle and in its vicinity. In addition to the campus in Carlisle, the university has several more in Penriff, Ambleside, Lancaster and in the London area of Tower Hamlets. The cost of living in the northern region is below the national average, and the transport infrastructure is well developed. All campuses are compact within walking distance from the city center.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Package of documents for admission to the bachelor's degree:

  • Certificate of complete secondary education with good grades and successful completion of the International Foundation program (Diploma A-levels or International Baccalaureate)
  • Certificate of English Proficiency (IELTS scores 6.5 and above)
  • A creative portfolio will be required for admission to design, fine arts and architecture programs
  • BMAT or UKCAT test (for admission to medical and some biomedical specialties).

Applications for studies are submitted online through the UK Universities Central Application System (UCAS).

Package of documents for admission to the magistracy:

  • Bachelor's degree with good grades
  • Certificate in English (IELTS 6.5 and above)
  • Pre-Masters Diploma if the grades in the bachelor's degree are lower than required
  • Experience in relevant work (may be required for admission to some programs)
  • GMAT test (may be required for admission to some business programs)
