University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria is located on four campuses in the central region of Upper Austria. The main task of the university is to provide local and foreign students with high-quality and practically oriented university education. The university is fully integrated into the European educational space - teaching is carried out according to undergraduate and graduate programs.

The increase in the number of academic courses and the number of students required the expansion of buildings and other infrastructure. Over the past few years, Upper Austria has invested more than 100 million euros in expanding its 4 campuses and has planned further modernization: in addition to modern lecture halls, there are well-equipped laboratories and high-tech equipment. Today, the university has more than 5,900 students, of which about 10% are foreign students. The university holds high positions in the educational ratings, has formed an excellent corporate image: the employment rate of graduates is 99%.

The University of Applied Sciences in Upper Austria has two student residences in Wels.

1. Georg Oberhaidinger Haus Residence is located near the school center and FH OÖ. Teachers around the clock accompany students who communicate, study and spend free time together. Accommodation - in single / double rooms with shower, toilet, Wi-Fi, cable TV. The residence serves freshly prepared, delicious food, including vegetarian, prepared taking into account religious beliefs, the requirements of a healthy diet.

Cost of living:

• Double room per month (including full board) - 439 €
• Double room per week (including full board) - 114 €
• Double room per month (including partial meals) - 410 €.

2. Kolpingheim Wels Residence has 150-bed rooms. From Monday to Friday, students are provided with meals in the home kitchen. Modern rooms are furnished with new furniture and equipped with modern technology, there is a private football, volleyball, music room, relaxation room with billiards, table tennis and table football.

The cost of living, including heating and electricity is 250-450 €.

In Austria, various discounts are provided for students on theater tickets, concerts, for visiting museums and much more. Additional activities for students are carried out by the social department ÖH (Austrian Student Union) and regional departments OeAD (Austrian Agency for International Mobility and Cooperation in the Field of Education, Science and Research).

• The four faculties of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Hagenberg, Linz, Steyr and Wels have earned international recognition. Two bachelor's and eight master's programs are offered exclusively in English, others are in development.

• Students receive academic training in management, technology or services in selected professional fields, are engaged in applied research, which are designed to form an anthropooriented society.
• 12 international, innovative undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the Steyr campus are advanced in the field of branding, production processes, the development of new management tools, digitized transport networks. The focus is on controlling and finance, marketing and sales, manufacturing, logistics, digital business management or processes and business analytics. More than 100 professors and teachers teach students and conduct research in international programs and research groups with a world rating.
• The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences FH OÖ in Wels conducts research on automation technology, modeling, measurement technology, testing, food, biotechnology, energy, the environment, innovation management, technology, materials production.

All faculties of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria are equipped with the necessary equipment. The Hagenberg campus currently offers 12,000 m² of training and research space in three buildings. The university has 60 well-equipped computer classes, seminar rooms and lecture halls, its own bio-laboratory and modern audio and film studios with Greenbox, an extensive library, large dining rooms and even pubs.
