UCAS points: system of scores for university admission

For students, enrollment in UK universities is possible after additional training after grade 11 - according to the A-level program, IB Diploma, International Foundation. And this means that after grades 9, 10, 11, you will need to study at a local educational institution and take exams.

Graduates of English schools must score a minimum overall score in the process of final examinations: the numbers are determined by the administration of each school (private), the main training programs in high school use their own method of assessing knowledge. UCAS was designed to help unify grades and to help translate literal-to-numeric values. Detailed information, tables of correspondence between the points of the school program and UCAS are presented on the official website of UCAS: applicants transfer their points according to the UCAS tables and choose the university where they can enter.
