Towson University (TU) is the largest university in the Baltimore area, the second largest university in the University system of Maryland. The basis of the institution was a pedagogical school, which in 1967 was connected with 10 state institutions and received its current name.

In recent years, 64 areas of bachelor's degree, 46 master's programs, 4 specializations of doctoral studies have been presented in TU. The number of students exceeds 22,000, of which about 800 are foreign students from 100 countries.

On the campus of the university there are 18 residential buildings of different types: small two-, three-storey buildings, high-rise buildings.

The rooms are equipped with necessary furniture, household appliances, TV connection, Internet.

Apartments Towson Run, West Village 2, Marshall Hall have kitchens and shared living rooms. In each hall there are laundries, rest rooms, rooms for self-study, retail outlets, canteens.

With its own bathrooms, Barton & Douglass Houses is considered a premium hostel. The cost of living per semester will cost about $ 600 more than standard housing. In other buildings, annual accommodation with meals will cost about $ 13,000.
