Swiss Boarding Schools Disentis & Zurich, the Swiss School of Disentis and Zurich is a prestigious institution that provides an education of outstanding level in two departments in Switzerland.

At this stage, children learn a rich list of subjects to form a strong and reliable foundation of knowledge. The entire program is taught in English, so that by the time they graduate, they know it fluently, at the level of native speakers (who teach all English lessons).

Subjects for the personal plan can be partially chosen independently, as well as subjects that will be used for the exam. The curriculum is complemented by electives: there are a huge number of them, so everyone can choose the best and most interesting option for themselves.

Winter camp for children and schoolchildren

  • Duration: 10 days — a week on the Mountain Campus, three days on the City Campus.

This is an ideal opportunity to spend your winter holidays with benefit and pleasure. The location at the foot of the Swiss Alps gives you the opportunity not only to improve your English/German language skills, but also to significantly improve your skiing or snowboarding skills!

Living conditions for students are equally comfortable on both campuses:

  • Modern individual rooms with bathroom (shower room),
  • Shared lounges for relaxation, small kitchens,
  • Three fresh and balanced meals a day.

Please note that all residences are closed during the long holidays (Christmas and Summer); In summer, the residences are occupied by a seasonal camp (usually July-August).

  • Mountain Campus (open 44 weeks a year) offers separate residences: the old abbey for young men and the Caminada House hotel for girls.
  • City Campus is also a separate accommodation and shared spaces for both sexes. The campus is closed for two weeks in the winter (Christmas holidays) and for 6 weeks in the summer (summer holidays).

Pupils are served delicious, varied, balanced, freshly prepared meals, mostly of European cuisine, every day. There is a vegetarian option.

Enrolment process

  1. Get in touch with your educational advisor: together you will begin the process of admission and clarify with the school the latest information.
  2. First meeting with a school representative.
  3. Filling out the application form, collecting the necessary documents.
  4. Individual entrance test (usually in English: it is necessary to confirm a minimum level of B1).
  5. Face-to-face interview – in person or online (Skype, Zoom).
  6. If you successfully complete all the stages, the school will send you a Letter of Acceptance.
  7. The remaining documents are sent, and the visa application process begins.
