Georgia
In Georgia, summer holidays for younger schoolchildren begin on June 1 and last until mid-September, for high school they begin in mid-June and end on September 15. In Taiwan, summer vacations usually last about two months. Taiwanese culture is different from Western countries, and sending children to grandparents for vacations is not a widespread practice.
Instead, children often attend additional classes: these can be math, Chinese or English lessons. These classes are similar to additional lessons, electives that children attend during the school year after school.
