The UCL-based Summer Internship Program organizes a variety of specialized courses for students from 12 to 18 years old. Education is available both face-to-face and online. The distance learning format is chosen by many students, since online programs are available around the clock from anywhere in the world. However, face-to-face summer courses based on the legendary UCL are also very popular!

The aim of UCL's summer courses is to help students make the right career decisions. The programs are designed to provide students with information about the right career for them in a short time, to help maximize their potential through interactive modeling, site visits, workshops, networking sessions, and career coaching.

Specializations span a variety of fields and fields, from medicine, engineering, investment banking, and psychology to law, filmmaking, architecture, and more.

The teaching staff consists of experts from several dozen industries from leading organizations and firms. Teachers not only teach schoolchildren, but also conduct seminars, thematic lectures, and research activities. Some of the teachers also work on the staff of the best universities around the world and are experienced specialists in their field.

Summer programmes are held on the University College London (UCL) campus, with weekend courses available on the Manchester and Dubai campuses.

The Young Psychologist Program

  • Age — from 15 to 18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is up to 2 weeks,
  • Dates: July-August.

The summer program, aimed at studying the activities of psychology specialists, is available to students aged 15-18 and does not require initial knowledge in this area.

Over the course of one to two weeks, students will have one of the most exciting experiences imaginable: studying in simulated mental health care rooms, visiting, participating in patient consultations, using the latest virtual reality devices to diagnose and treat psychological disorders, all of which will give students a glimpse into the career of a psychologist/psychotherapist.

Students can choose the duration: one or two weeks of full-time study at UCL London with accommodation in its residence. 

In the first week, students can expect:

  • Educational psychology: the realities of working with vulnerable people, the opportunity to conduct your own assessment of the child's health, participation in a simulated consultation with parents, development of an intervention plan, diagnosis,
  • Working in a Psychological Clinic: Key Skills, Psychologists' Techniques, Fundamentals of Patient Interaction, Conducting Initial Research, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),
  • Sports Psychology: Premier League Stadium Tour, Study of Athletes' Match Preparation, Private Conversations with Professional Players, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Study,
  • Criminal psychology: assessment of the psychological state of the offender in a simulated criminal case, psychometric assessment of the offender, clarification of cognitive, behavioral factors of the crime, participation in the court case in the courtroom, development of a treatment plan for the convict, consultations with the commission,
  • Successful Psychologist course: understanding key decisions on the way to career growth, choosing the right subjects for exams, creating an admission statement and resume.

The second phase focuses on the following areas:

  • Mental Health Unit: Study of a simulated inpatient ward, therapies, working together with a team of psychologists, developing a crisis plan for a patient with symptoms of schizophrenia,
  • Within the nervous system: linking cognition, behavior to brain functions, conducting a neurological assessment, developing a project on traumatic brain injuries and their impact on daily activities together with clinical neuropsychologists,
  • Visit to the Royal Bedlam Hospital: a private tour exploring the history of the UK's oldest mental hospital, a lecture from working doctors and an examination of some patients,
  • Professional, business psychology: communication with businessmen about the influence of psychology on success in activities, development of thoughtful solutions to social problems with the help of behavioral science, own experiment,
  • Future psychologists: acquaintance with the pioneering company PsychTech, cyberpsychology, attending a lecture on the relationship between virtual reality, helping patients with injuries, phobias, addiction, and other diseases,
  • Networking event with leading psychologists: participation in a private networking session with senior psychologists, receiving answers to emerging questions from experts in the field.

At the end of the course, students are awarded a certificate and a letter of recommendation, which will complement the resume required for admission to the university.

The Young Entrepreneur Program

  • Age — from 15 to 18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is up to 2 weeks,
  • The dates are July.

Students interested in entrepreneurship have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and learn from specialists in this field. The course takes place throughout July and is available in two durations: one or two weeks of attending classes, lectures, events on the University College London campus with the possibility of living in residence.

In two weeks of study, students will gain a complete understanding of the field of entrepreneurship, from the development of a business strategy to its implementation.

In the first days of academic classes, students will gain an insight into areas of entrepreneurship such as:

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Outstanding qualities of the world's leading entrepreneurs, developing their understanding and ability to generate ideas and innovate, exploring different leadership skills, ways to shape their own career path,

  • Professional pitching: attending a special seminar on public speaking, learning how to deal with stress in professional situations,
  • Creating a startup: applying the knowledge gained in a competition to develop a business idea, receiving personal advice from experienced specialists,

  • Networking: participation in a private networking session with leading entrepreneurs, testing the knowledge gained, getting answers to questions, advice from experts.

The second academic week includes consideration of several more areas of entrepreneurial activity:

  • Visiting the offices of multi-million dollar firms, getting acquainted with the inner workings of a technology startup, communicating with business leaders,
  • Campaigns, ideas of consumer psychology: cooperation with novice psychologists, disclosure of the influence of psychology on consumer behavior,
  • From start-up to sustainable expansion: learning about the rules for starting from scratch to scaling, about the sustainable development of companies, social justice,
  • Networking event with leading entrepreneurs: attending lectures by leading entrepreneurs, a tour of the financial center of London from modern speedboats,
  • Fintech forum: attending a series of speeches by experts in the field of financial technologies, working in a team on a fintech task, presenting the project at an exclusive fair, receiving feedback.

The course also includes trainings, career seminars on narrow-profile topics of the region, graduation party, and leisure activities.

Graduates of the program receive not only a complete understanding of the chosen profile, but also a certification of the knowledge gained, which will perfectly complement the admission resume.

The Young Architect Program

  • Age — from 15 to 18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is up to 2 weeks.

The Young Architect's summer program provides students aged 15 to 18 with the opportunity to evaluate the career path of an architect before it even begins.

The architecture course has two formats of duration: one or two weeks of attending classes at the UCL campus in London with accommodation in a comfortable residence. Over the course of 15 days, students will get unique impressions from communicating with specialists in their field, visiting many scientific events, company offices, creating projects, and teamwork.

The program has many features and benefits:

  • Visits to leading architectural, urban design firms, e.g. Foster and Partners,
  • Creation of your own stable structure using the latest architectural software: BIM technology, virtual reality and more,
  • Execution of a series of projects in the studio using tools for architectural sketches, design methods, being under the guidance of experienced professionals,
  • Defending the created projects in front of a team of architects, getting feedback,
  • Demonstration of curatorial skills in the organization of an individual exhibition of works,
  • Participation in private sessions with experienced architects of various specialties.

Students will also receive personal recommendations on the choice of academic subjects to take in high school, career counseling. Participation in the summer program will provide students with a certificate, a letter of recommendation, which will serve as a competitive advantage when applying to the university.

The first stage includes:

  • Work in an architectural studio: opening the process of architectural design, improving creative skills, participating in a master class on physical 3D modeling,
  • Independent project: getting the first design brief, working on it as a team, walking around the city to document already built buildings, creating physical structures for better visualization of projects,
  • Visits: visits to leading architectural firms, communication with managers, leading professionals,
  • Presentation of the project: placing information about the project on boards in a landmark building in London, conducting an evaluation of the project in accordance with official RIBA recommendations, obtaining feedback.

The second week is no less eventful:

  • Designing a sustainable structure: getting to know expert architects, getting an assignment to study the materials and systems that will be used for the implementation of the project,
  • Research, website development: a tour of one of the restored areas of London with a historical lecture, meeting experts, providing them with your design proposals,
  • Digitization of the project: the use of virtual, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, other advanced technologies to improve, digitalize the project,
  • Exhibition: organizing an exhibition of your design projects, communicating with leading architects, receiving valuable feedback.

Upon completion of their studies, students will gain practical experience in creating projects, will be able to demonstrate to admissions officers the confirmation of their knowledge and skills in the form of a certificate, letter of recommendation, portfolio.

The Young Artist Program

  • Age — from 15 to 18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is up to 15 days.

The Young Artist's summer course is aimed at students aged 15-18 and offers an exciting experience of living on the campus of one of the best institutions in England – University College London. In the process of studying, modern premises of the college and its residence, in which students of the course will be accommodated, will be used.

The program lasts for 5 or 10 days. During this time, students will acquire valuable knowledge provided by experienced artists, will have the opportunity to visit the Tate Modern gallery, a series of master classes, and create their own work of art under the guidance of current professionals.

The course includes:

  • Immersive art experience: lecture on art history at the Tate Modern, participation in a master class in fine arts, a series of art workshops with drawing from nature, modeling, engraving, creating your own short animated film, performance, organizing an exhibition of your work,
  • Getting to know the best artists specializing in fine arts, graphic design, illustration, animation and other fields,
  • Career coaching: advice on the choice of subjects for admission to the university, assistance in compiling an application and resume,
  • Professional assessment: an online assessment after the end of the program will allow you to receive a graduation certificate, a letter of recommendation, which will allow the student to provide the admissions committee with evidence of their skills, have a competitive advantage over other applicants,
  • Study on the territory of UCL with accommodation in a comfortable residence.

Already in the first five days, students will have an exciting experience:

  • A visit to one of the best public galleries in London – the Tate Modern: here students will gain knowledge about the history of art, an idea of the pricing of paintings, study various techniques, draw a panorama of London,
  • A series of workshops in different environments, sculpting a 3D self-portrait from clay, experimenting with different materials, revealing the world of printing and design. Students will create their own sketchbook, get valuable feedback on their work,
  • Lectures, thanks to which students will gain knowledge about commercial clients and freelancing, develop their own unique style of character design, study a range of animation techniques, create a unique character,
  • Creating a portfolio: from scratch to a finished work.

The next 6-10 days are devoted to more in-depth aspects of the artist's profession:

  • Choosing a path: video game design or filmmaking. Students will experience both professions, gain insight into the career path in each,
  • Use of virtual, augmented reality, VR technologies for modeling,
  • Participation in performing arts events to gain an understanding of the connection between art and performance, creating a production together with professional artists,
  • Graphic Design, Marketing, Branding: Basics, Principles, Importance. Students will create posters, invitations for their art exhibition, plan a budget, organize an event with the presentation of their own work,
  • Organization of the exhibition in the London gallery: from the setting of lighting, the arrangement of works to communication with invited specialists.

The experience gained in the course will help students decide on their future academic education and the direction in which they would like to start their careers.

The Young Computer Scientist Program

The Young Computer Scientist Summer Program is available to students in two age ranges. The course takes place over 5-15 days, offers students valuable professional experience in the field of computer science, studying on the campus of one of the best institutions in England – UCL in London, living in a comfortable residence on its campus. 

The two-week curriculum for students aged 12-14 includes:

  • Immersive group classes aimed at developing the skills of a software engineer,
  • Disassembling computer equipment, studying its components, thinking about improving technology,
  • Career counseling on a variety of professions, including cybersecurity, robotics, video game design, software development,
  • Fundamentals of Python Programming Language, Robotics, Block Coding, Unity Game Engines,
  • Solving cybersecurity challenges aimed at protecting data,

For students aged 15-18, the program offers a different variety of activities organized over two weeks. Students will gain skills in the following areas:

  • Career coaching based on existing skills, valuable tips for getting new ones,
  • Robotics: the study of artificial intelligence, building a robot and programming it, using sketch coding or Python,
  • UI/UX, front-end engineering: gathering client requirements, learning the basics of Figma, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other tools,
  • BackEnd Engineering, video game design: research of basic programming algorithms, creation of the server part of the project using Python,
  • Programming+: debugging code in an existing game and getting to know Github, testing the software,
  • Basics of video games: experience in creating a story, game design, levels, other components of the project,
  • Cybersecurity World: Theory of Network Security and Equipment, Participation in Team Attack Simulation, System Defense,
  • Fintech forum: gaining knowledge about the world of financial technologies, their impact on the technological space, developing a trading application in a group, presenting the project to professional IT specialists.

At the end of the program, all graduates receive an individual assessment of the acquired knowledge, a certificate, and a letter of recommendation. The Young Dentist Program

  • Age – 15-18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is up to 15 days.

The summer program dedicated to the study of dentistry gives students aged 15-18 the opportunity to immerse themselves in the life of a dental professional, to gain experience of living in England on the territory of one of the leading institutions - University College London.

Students can choose the duration: one or two weeks of attending face-to-face classes on the college campus. During this time, they will gain valuable knowledge and skills that give them a complete understanding of the work of a dentist and his career path. Students will learn how to drill teeth, take impressions, communicate with professionals in this industry, and acquire the skill of diagnosing the disease from real patients.

The first week of training includes:

  • Dental Activity Research: Basic Dexterity Skills, Oral Health Support Consultations, Puzzle Solving Based on Diagnosis of Real Clinical Cases,
  • Dental practice: visiting the clinic to study the most common procedures, equipment. Students will witness demonstrations of oral hygiene, X-rays, disease diagnosis,

The Young Forensic Scientist Program

  • Age – 15-18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is up to two weeks.

A summer program specializing in forensic science will help students understand the activities of important forensic medical professionals. This area plays an important role in state security, judicial affairs, and has many subtleties.

During these days, students will gain experience in collecting evidence at a simulated crime scene, performing fingerprint and blood spatter analysis, and extracting DNA in state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.

The first week of academic classes organised on the UCL campus focuses on the following sections:

  • Forensic thinking: students will live one day in the life of a forensic scientist, learn the requirements for his work, the difference between activities in the field and in the laboratory, analytical methods, rules for using ultraviolet light, master the basics of pipetting, risk assessment,
  • "Becoming a CSI": the theory of the strategy of approaching the scene of a crime, getting a thorough understanding of the best practices of hygiene and clothing that will be needed in the workplace, checking attention to detail, going through a series of real-life cases,
  • Crime Scene: Participate in a simulated crime scene as an emergency responder. Students will draw a scene, label, package evidence, learn the principles of fingerprint identification, the effect of different surfaces on them, compare the data obtained with potential suspects,
  • Analysis: The basics of analyzing evidence, including blood. Students will group stains into different categories, learn terminology, and reconstruct the scene of an accident.

During the following week, students are invited to participate in more "in-depth" activities:

  • Laboratory: communication with current forensic experts, examination of real cases and evidence, master class with the collection and extraction of DNA samples,
  • Forensic Specialties: Students are encouraged to visit a variety of accident sites, including fire and explosion zones. They will have to study the evidence, analyze it, create a profile of a person based on the remains,
  • Courtroom: A simulated studio, which is a courtroom, offers students the opportunity to gather evidence, write expert opinions, conduct cross-examination,
  • Cyberforensics: Immersion in Digital Forensics, Cyber Attacks, Integrating Technology into Forensic Investigations,
  • Networking event with current experts in the field: testing the knowledge gained, communicating with specialists.

In addition to quality skills and practical experience, students will receive career assistance based on their goals and knowledge. The staff will help students to write an application and resume, select suitable higher education institutions, and provide information about the initial tests. The Young Vet Program

  • Age – 15-18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is up to 15 days.

A summer course dedicated to the activities of veterinarians is available to students aged 15-18. Students are invited to plunge into the life of a doctor in love with animals, gain applied experience in a veterinary hospital, consult real patients, learn about career opportunities, and the intricacies of the profession.

The training takes place within one to two weeks. Students attend classes on the campus of University College London, are accommodated in its residence, receive three meals a day, access to the infrastructure of the institution and its events, which brightens up academic life and allows you to get an unforgettable experience of staying in England. 

The two-week program contains many practical, theoretical classes with current specialists, the use of interactive technologies, visits to hospitals and clinics. In the first week, students can expect:

  • The world of a veterinarian: discovering different career opportunities in caring for pets and wild animals, working in the laboratory and in the field, gaining an understanding of the skills required,
  • Introduction to the practice of treating small animals: conducting clinical examinations, diagnosing patients, studying the basics of first aid. At each stage, students are assisted by veterinary surgeons who focus on important skills of communication with animals, their owners,
  • Farm veterinarian: lectures on the importance of veterinary care for farm animals, visits to farms to communicate with specialists about the tests performed, preventive care,
  • Equine Specialist: observing unique methods of caring for horses, gaining knowledge about different approaches to treatment and areas of work, collaborating with veterinarians and interacting independently with animals (under the supervision of teachers),
  • Career coaching: choosing subjects for exams, preparing an application for admission, simulating an interview, choosing a suitable institution for further study.

In the second week, students can expect:

  • Surgery: research in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, neurosurgery, practice in making a diagnosis and deciding on further treatment, dexterity testing, performing simulated surgery using instruments,
  • Wildlife Veterinarian: Disclosure of the responsibilities of a veterinarian who specializes in wild animals. Students will gain knowledge about exotic species, talk to specialists, participate in an interactive scenario "What would you do in this situation?",
  • Digital Healthcare, Veterinary Ethics: Telemedicine Opportunities, Controversial Topics of Veterinary Ethics, Norms of Communication with Animals, Progressive Code of Ethical Conduct for Doctors,
  • Veterinary clinic: visiting the Blue Cross Hospital, its dental, X-ray, surgical rooms, laboratories, conducting a mini-tour in the kennel of dogs and cats, communication with professionals,
  • Networking event with leading veterinary specialists: a private session aimed at obtaining theoretical knowledge, answers to emerging questions.

Graduates are awarded a certificate, a letter of recommendation, which will help to enter the chosen institution, confirm competitive knowledge, applied experience and skills acquired on the course.

The Young Doctor Programme

  • Age – from 12 to 14 years old, from 15 to 18 years old,
  • The duration of the training is up to 2 weeks,
  • Dates: July-August.

The Young Doctor Programmes are dedicated to the practice of medicine, allowing you to gain specialized knowledge and experience as a doctor in a real hospital setting. The training is carried out for 1-2 weeks, during which students attend classes at University College London (UCL), live in its residence, have access to the entire campus infrastructure, participate in organized events, and get a unique educational experience.

During the course, students will visit hospitals, get acquainted with experienced specialists, learn all the difficulties of working with patients, and learn how to use modern technologies to make a diagnosis.

The curriculum of the first week for children aged 12-14 includes:

  • Exploring career paths in medicine,
  • Gaining practical knowledge for first aid in case of injuries,
  • Communication with patients during examinations,
  • Practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, sterile dressing of patients, use of a stethoscope,
  • Practice of wound care and suturing.

The second school week consists of:

  • Specialization – Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Dermatology,
  • Practices of patient admission, reasonable referral of each person to a specialist,
  • Communication with leading professionals in their field,
  • Immersion in the daily routine of the hospital department,
  • Using the latest VR headset technologies,
  • Developing the ability to make quick decisions together with medical professionals,
  • A detailed study of each medical case and assistance from the current doctor, senior surgeon.

The first week curriculum for students aged 15-18 offers:

  • Examination of real patients, practice of communication,
  • Reading the medical record, medical history, making an action plan,
  • Getting to know the difference between the work of a general practitioner and a hospital.

The second school week is characterized by rich activities and includes:

  • Treatment of surgical wounds in a simulated situation in a real hospital,
  • Communication with current medical staff,
  • Visiting patients, identifying and eliminating problems that have arisen,
  • Discussing test results with patients,
  • Examination and treatment of patients, response to changes in the condition,
  • Ability to make a correct diagnosis after reading the results of blood tests, X-rays, medical history, consultation notes,
  • Ability to independently draw blood from a prosthetic arm, insert a defibrillator,
  • Ability to vaccinate using the necessary tools and equipment,
  • Ability to ask the right questions to refer the patient to the right specialist.

At the end of the course, students will acquire knowledge about the latest achievements in medicine, applied work experience, take part in online discussions with medical specialists and practicing medical students, receive answers to all questions and advice from experts, consultations from doctors who are members of the admissions committees of various medical schools.

The Young Investment Banker Programme

  • Age — from 12 to 14 years old, from 15 to 18 years old,

The program offers research and experience as an investment banker in London. Within 1-2 weeks, the students will take part in trading on world markets, in a merger of two large corporations, build their own investment portfolio, and attend an exclusive networking event at The Shard. Experienced bankers from world-famous companies will answer questions and advise on creating a career in the world of investment and finance. Upon completion, students will undergo an online assessment and receive a certificate that confirms the acquisition of skills for admission to the university, a letter of recommendation from an investment specialist.

The first week for students aged 12-14 is dedicated to:

  • Teamwork – developing skills that are key to working with investments, gaining unique experience with the help of interactive technologies,
  • Familiarity with the world of sales and trading, the different types of market analysis used to ensure a healthy return on investment,
  • Participation in a trading simulator to test skills, understanding the intricacies of trading strategies used by the world's leading traders,
  • Acquaintance with the world of corporate finance, its history,
  • The ability to estimate the value of any business using knowledge, intuition and fundamental formulas,
  • Introduction to cryptocurrency trading from experienced bankers working in investment banks.

The second stage consists of the following sections:

  • Creating a direct investment in a venture enterprise: students will learn the secrets of investing in fast-growing startups, how private companies make investment profits, students will create their own startup business, build a marketing, technological and product strategy to be evaluated by specialists,
  • Passing an interactive quest: situations based on a number of banking problems are simulated, children answer various puzzle questions,
  • Participation in the event with experienced investment bankers – the children will receive valuable advice from experts in the field and consultations.

Study in the first week for students aged 15-18 includes:

  • Familiarity with the winning trading strategies used by the world's leading investment bankers, the intricacies of market analysis, the relationship between the latest news and prices,

The Young Engineer Programme

The programme is held at UCL and the adjacent campus, other key locations in London, and is dedicated to gaining engineering experience. Students will take part in a simulated mission to Mars, undergo training with experienced engineers from world-class companies specializing in civil, electronics, aerospace engineering, visit real production facilities and airfields, design and even build their own engineering structures.

The first week of training for 12-14-year-olds includes:

  • Designing a model airplane and participating in a competition between other children,
  • Modeling: under the guidance of an experienced civil engineer, the children will build a geodesic dome with the help of newspapers,
  • Performing interactive tasks — designing and building a boat, testing it.

During the second week, children will gain skills in various areas:

  • Become experts in robotics and engineering – learn about the use of technologies for industrial automation, create their own project under the guidance of leading robotics engineers,
  • They will delve into the intricacies of engineering using the example of the London Underground - they will visit famous museums, get acquainted with the history of the development of public transport and engineers who are experts in this field,
  • They will go through an interactive quest to find answers to questions using the practical knowledge gained during the program.

The course during the first week for students aged 15-18 consists of:

  • Development of the basic concept of the project in civil engineering, its creation and participation in competition with its rivals,
  • Visiting the airfield and researching Boeing aircraft, getting acquainted with the design of various aircraft and airframes, working in a team with electrical engineers and pilots,
  • Studying robotics and machine learning in the 21st century — innovative biomedical technologies, automation of the manufacturing industry. Students will create their own project under the guidance of leading robotics engineers.

During the second week, the children will get an idea of other aspects:

  • They will get acquainted with the engineers who created the best cars in the world, the specifics of the transition from the use of gasoline to electric energy, visit the classic car exhibition in London, and design their own electric car under the guidance of experts.
  • They will learn the details of environmentally friendly design and its purpose, working in a group, think over an action plan for climate emergencies, and present it to leading ecologists.
  • They will go through the theory of the key principles of electrical engineering, at a practical lesson they will disassemble household appliances into component parts using existing components, try to invent something new and automate it with the help of microchips.

Students of the 2-week courses will gain in-depth knowledge and experience, meet talented students from all over the world, receive individual career advice from specialists, advice on how to start their journey as an engineer, and determine their strengths. The Young Lawyer Programme

The summer program provides for the acquisition of full experience and acquaintance with all aspects of the work of lawyers. During the training, students will speak in a real case, negotiate commercial law, take part in human rights disputes in the Supreme Court of London, and meet with professional legal experts. By joining the course, students will prepare for their future as a successful lawyer, gain practical experience in various areas of law, and learn about the unique legal impact of London on the whole world.

In the first week of the program, children aged 12-14 study:

  • Criminal Law: Investigate the crime scene, participate in the witness interview team, prepare for the trial, interact with lead attorneys, and receive evaluation and advice from experienced lawyers.
  • Family law: get acquainted with family law issues, try themselves in the role of a family lawyer.
  • Corporate law: learn the intricacies of negotiating on behalf of the company, completing the process with a successful transaction, receive advice from experienced negotiators.

The second week is dedicated to:

  • Family Law: includes analyzing a high-profile divorce case, legal advice, acting as a family lawyer, reading and interpreting forensic findings, witness and expert testimony, building client defenses, evaluating work from current family law lawyers.
  • Corporate law: theory and practice from leading corporate lawyers, simulation of the situation of negotiations on behalf of an international company on a purchase or merger.
  • Judicial Law: Participation in a murder trial (within 2 days) in a simulated situation from the time of arrest to sentencing. Students will choose to side the prosecution, defense, or serve as a defense attorney, upon completion of which they will receive feedback from current criminal defense attorneys.

The second week includes:

  • Human rights: within 2 days, students will get acquainted with basic human rights, after which they will act as a lawyer, analyze a real high-profile case, and together with experts prepare legal documents for the Supreme Court.

The Young Fashion Designer Programme

The program is dedicated to fashion and design, gaining experience in creating clothes for students aged 15-18. Training takes place at UCL and the adjacent University of London campus, and on-site training sessions are organised at other key industry locations in London.

During their studies, students will plunge headlong into the world of fashion art — create their own clothing brand, develop an individual style, and present a collection at London Fashion Week. By taking part in the program, students will prepare for entering university and obtaining the prestigious profession of a fashion designer, replenish their portfolio with their own album with designer models shot in a professional London studio, and attend a closed networking event with fashion marketing experts.

During the first week, students aged 15-18 will learn about key aspects in design:

  • Clothing design – learning the history of iconic collections, getting a step-by-step design guide from a leading fashion designer. Children will learn where to get inspiration, how to bring their ideas to life from a drawing to a mannequin.
  • Introduction to the history of fashion – includes an individual tour of the V&A museum and a tour of the fashion collection, an introduction to design theory, drawing your own sketches in the workshop under the guidance of an artist.
  • Learning the nuances of design – consists of workshops on patterning, drapery and sewing. Students will get an idea of the basics of sewing, create their own template for making clothes.

Courses take place at the UCL campus in London. Admission dates and extra charges

Summer face-to-face programs run from July to early September. Online courses include live streams with instructors, which are organized in August.

The duration of education in full-time programs is 5, 10 or 15 days, distance learning takes place within a week.

When studying on the UCL premises, additional costs will include technology fees, participation in activities, snacks on campus, leisure, airport transfers, public transport tickets - everything that will make the life of students more comfortable and diverse. Online programs will only require students to connect via the Internet.

Upon admission, candidates are required to make an advance payment of 50% of the total cost of the program in order to reserve a place on the course.

Enrolment process

Applicants need to fill out an online registration form, wait for a response from the admissions committee. After receiving the approval of the submitted application, they will have to pay 50% of the cost of the program, then arrive on campus to start the course.
