Description of St Marks School

  • Year of foundation: 1865;
  • Location: Southboro, Massachusetts, USA;
  • Age of students: 14-18 years;
  • Total number of students: 400 people;
  • Type of program: mixed;
  • Type of accommodation: boarding house;
  • Language of instruction: English.

A small but respected and popular private school- St. Marks School was founded in 1865 - of course, like many other educational institutions, it was initially intended only for young men. Today, an institution in the suburbs of Boston has already fully switched to a mixed system (girls are admitted to courses since the mid-1970s): approximately 400 people from 14 to 18 years study here, 21% of them are foreign students from around the world.

A rich and diverse curriculum with a large number of both theory and practice helps graduates to easily enter the best universities in the United States and the world. But equally important is the moral, personal and creative education of students: they instill a sense of decency and resourcefulness, curiosity and creative thinking, skills of critical analysis and comparison of facts.
