St. Gilgen International School is a secondary school (full-time course and boarding school) that accepts children from around the world from 9 to 18 years old (the total number of students reaches 250 people). The institution has a prestigious accreditation of the International Baccalaureate Organization, the studying is conducted entirely in English, and the last 2 years of study can be counted as 2 bachelor's courses. During the summer months, an international children's camp operates on campus with interesting combined programs.

The emphasis is on strong academic preparation and development of knowledge on the main subjects of the school curriculum. In addition, the emphasis is placed on sports and creative development, children are taught leadership qualities, an active life position. Quick overview: the English course during summer vacation is designed for international students. Classes are interesting, fascinating and not at all tedious. Students can even do the most minimal level of preparation, literally learn the language from scratch. Academic progress is facilitated by the international composition of students, the diversity of languages, cultures and nationalities.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Four comfortable residences are built on the territory, girls and boys live separately, the age parameter is also taken into account when resettling. Each room is well equipped, designed for 2 people, the residence also has medical offices and laundry. Teachers and school staff are constantly on duty: they monitor the order, discipline and cleanliness, provide round-the-clock safety for children.

Meals are organized on the full board basis in a spacious common dining room: the diet is varied, perfectly balanced and includes dishes of international and local cuisine. Every day a variety of salads, soups, hot dishes are served, vegetarian or diet meals can be organized on request.

Subjects and sports

Activities St. Gilgen International Summer School

In their free time (usually the afternoon hours and weekends) students are given various opportunities for leisure and recreation. You can go hiking or climbing in the mountains, swim in the canoe or kayak lake, ride bicycles, visit the water park or swim on the lake. Also, long trips with overnight stays in the Alpine foothills, excursions and educational tours in Salzburg are arranged.

All campus buildings of Gilgen International School - whether ancient or modern buildings - are made in a single architectural style, restored and in excellent condition. The school has its own library and a cinema, studios for music and drama, a media center. There is a cafeteria and a common dining room, wide opportunities for sports and active recreation: tennis courts, wharf for rowing and sailing, basketball courts; In good weather (and it is here almost always) you can swim in the lake.
