Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) is a higher education institution in Sichuan Province. Accommodation, meals, prices
Residential buildings are located on three campuses. Single, double, triple rooms with separate rooms for each student are prepared for accommodation. The cost of a monthly stay depends on the number of neighbors and ranges from 600 to 1000 yuan. A monthly fee will be charged if the student stays in the dormitory for longer than 15 days.
In the canteens on campuses, three meals a day are organized: breakfast, lunch, dinner. The average cost of one meal is 4-15 yuan.
Activities Southwest Jiaotong University
The institution regularly hosts many student events: New Year's Eve, graduation balls, the International Student Festival of Culture and Art, sports competitions. The university has organized the work of several dozen student organizations: Unions of students, graduates, young volunteers, the media center "Youth Media", etc. The orientations of organizations can be divided into six categories: science, sports, culture and art, social practice, research and technology, theoretical research. Facilities and equipment at Southwest Jiaotong University
The university's main campus, Sipu, is located in Chengdu, a city known as "the home of China's favorite panda bear." Chengdu is considered one of the cities with the highest level of quality of life in the country, as well as a high-tech zone of the national level.
The total area occupied by the university is 824 acres in the total of three campuses: Juli, Sipu, Emei.
- On the territory of Sipu there are buildings of most schools, laboratories, administrative offices.
- Jiuli is located in the center of Chengdu, which guarantees convenient transport links between campuses. There are leading scientific laboratories sponsored by the state, the Ministry of Education. In addition to practical classes, students can visit the science and technology park, high-tech incubators.
- The Aimei campus has an area of more than 250,000 sq.m. built in a picturesque area near the mountain of the same name. The area around the education site is included in the list of World Cultural and Natural Heritage. There are auditoriums, living quarters, laboratories and sports facilities.
On all campuses there are student canteens, several Muslim restaurants. For the organization of sports activities, open stadiums have been built, game rooms, gyms and an open-type swimming pool have been equipped.
