South Ural State University (SUSU) is one of the largest higher educational institutions in Russia, the largest university in Chelyabinsk and the region. During the Great Patriotic War, the university became the main "teacher" of personnel for the engineering sphere.

The campus is located in the city center, includes 8 dormitories. Nearby there is a dining room and a café, a hairdresser, grocery stores, a computer club. Education takes place throughout the year with a break for the holidays. The academic year includes two semesters, two sessions. Classes are held from Monday to Saturday. 2-6 pairs are organized per day, each of them lasts 1.5 hours.
