Saint Francis Xavier University (abbreviated as StFX ) is a state-type higher educational institution that first opened its doors back in 1853 in Canada. The university currently has its own small campus near the town of Antigonish.

The University of St. Francis Xavier is not such a large educational institution in terms of the number of students. About 5,000 people study here every year. The teaching staff of StFX is about 300 teachers of the highest category. Students and teachers of the university have the opportunity, if they wish, to take part in one of the exchange programs at the international level.
