Early Years

  • Age – from 3 years
  • The training period is 3 years.

The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is a step-by-step and versatile development of the child, taking into account his characteristics and interests. All classes are held in the form of a game, some of them are taught by both teachers and parents.

The curriculum contains six main areas:

  1. Personal, social, emotional development,
  2. Communication, language, literacy,
  3. Mathematics
  4. Knowledge, understanding of the world,
  5. Physical development,
  6. Creation.

Thanks to the infrastructure of the campus, younger pupils are in a comfortable and friendly environment, where they feel calm and confident. Teachers are focused on each of the students, developing important skills in them, such as self-care, politeness, self-confidence, interest in learning.

Students will begin to learn the basics of English and Arabic, mathematics, science and digital technologies. Muslim schoolchildren will additionally be able to attend classes in Islamic education.

Primary School

  • Age – from 5 to 11 years
  • The term of study is 6 years.

The primary school program includes two stages: Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. During these stages, children learn to explore, ask questions, hypothesize, use imagination, and develop physical, creative, mathematical, and language skills. Students are assisted by teachers, whose duties include individual training of each pupil and constant assessment of his progress.

At the end of the first year, students undergo a phonetic test, then retake the phonetics test in the second grade. Further, students are waiting for national tests in English and mathematics, which are taken annually. Students in grades 3-6 also undergo a CAT4 test at the beginning of each school year. The test contains an assessment of the following skills:

  • Verbal thinking – the ability to express thoughts with words,
  • Non-verbal thinking – solving problems with the help of pictures, diagrams,
  • Spatial thinking – the ability to draw conclusions in three dimensions,
  • Quantitative thinking – the ability to use numerical skills to solve problems.

Boot Camps

  • Age – grades 3-4, 6
  • The duration of the training is three nights, four days.

The institution provides a fun and exciting pastime in camps for students of grades 3-4, 6. Programs are held annually in different places: at the moment, students have visited the Al-Saha Desert and the seaport of Al-Jir. Students have a unique opportunity to try different sports: surfing, sandboarding, mountaineering, kayaking and others.

Accommodation, meals, prices

The school works in the daytime mode, so it does not provide places for living.

During the school day, there are several canteens on campus, where students can have a snack or have a full lunch, choosing food from a menu of hot dishes, drinks, salads and desserts.

Activities Royal Dubai School

During the academic year, Royal Dubai School students have plenty of opportunities to participate in sporting, creative, academic and charitable activities. Also, for the development of talents and the search for their interests, clubs are open:

Students have already visited the Sheikh Mohammed Cultural Understanding Centre, the Emirates Marine Reserve, the Astronomical Centre, the Meydan Hippodrome and the Quran Park.

The academic year consists of several trimesters:

Classes are held from Monday to Friday. Saturday, Sunday and national, international holidays are considered days off. Long holidays are provided in honor of the New Year and in the summer. For summer season you can choose from kids camps in UAE programs.
