Montpellier SupAgro is a French government agency dedicated to higher education and research in agriculture, food and the environment. Montpellier SupAgro is opened to international partnerships in the southern and Mediterranean regions.

Montpellier SupAgro contributes to agricultural research through the participation of research faculty members in 22 research units, 4 joint technology units. Montpellier SupAgro scientific groups work closely with large research organizations based in Montpellier (INRAE, CIRAD, IRD), regional higher education institutions (University of Montpellier, University of Paul Valery, University of Domitia Perpignan). The university also operates two experimental agricultural platforms (viticulture, sheep breeding, olive growing) dedicated to exchange with professionals. The transfer and development of knowledge takes place through the AgroValoMéditerranée business incubation site, a common platform for creating and supporting development projects in partnership with INRAE, INRAE ​​Transfert.

At Montpellier SupAgro, postgraduate education is conducted in close collaboration with other universities and research organizations in Montpellier and the surrounding area.

Montpellier SupAgro has three residences - Les Cigales, Les Hameaux and Soleil, located just a few steps from the Gaillarde campus in Montpellier SupAgro. Their total capacity is over 640 people.

  • Engineers Without Borders (Ingénieurs Sans Frontières ISF in French) is a student non-governmental organization that participates in many international projects.
  • The Student Circle (Le Cercle des Elèves) organizes student activities including orientation weekends, student parties and charity events, and runs many student clubs.
  • The Circle also helps international students to integrate into the school and develops partnerships with local businesses.
  • The Junior Etude of Montpellier Agro (JEMA) offers tto engineering students the opportunity to put their skills into practice by conducting research for a wide range of clients: small and medium-sized companies, large firms, research organizations, local governments, and more.

Facilities and equipment at Montpellier SupAgro Institute

The historic SupAgro Montpellier campus is being transformed to meet the needs of new curricula that requires an open, shared, interconnected space. The campus has extensive sports facilities, a studying center, new spaces for creativity, work, meetings, and access to many digital educational resources.

These spaces are complemented by an immersive classroom designed for educational courses open to geographically dispersed audiences. The new facilities are available to student associations and host various competitions promoting innovation as well as events organized by AgroFabLab.

Deadline for submission of applications:

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

  • Academic level: depending on the chosen areas, students must present an official certificate of completion of at least 4-6 semesters (from 120 to 180 ECTS).
  • Language Level: students must have a B1 / B2 level in French or English.
