Mont Rose College (MRC) is an educational institution that offers high-quality education in business, economics, information technology, and various other professional fields.

The college was established in 2006, initially based in Leighton Town Hall. In a relatively short span of time, the institution has experienced significant growth, evolving from a team of 7 employees and 24 students to encompass three campuses equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, catering to over 800 future professionals. Currently, the college's faculty comprises approximately 70 qualified educators, each possessing extensive experience in both knowledge dissemination and research within their respective professional domains.

MRC's campuses, which were established in 2014, 2016, and 2018, serve as modern learning environments. They feature contemporary infrastructure, cutting-edge technologies, and spacious, well-lit facilities. Higher National Diploma (HND) courses provide a two-year professional qualification. HND provides students with the necessary core skills at level 4-5 that will open the doors to the next level of higher education at a UK university. The courses are focused on learning by doing and are designed to give the learner the opportunity to develop the necessary job skills.

The HND Level 5 Diploma is equivalent to the second year of a university programme, offered in several areas:

Diploma Courses

  • The duration of the training is one year.

The UK's higher education system is highly respected and recognised around the world. Diploma courses provide students with the opportunity to gain sufficient qualifications to achieve their life and career goals immediately after graduation. At the MRC, two course formats are taught that can enhance existing knowledge and acquire professional skills in the context of modern teaching of theory, research and practice.

The two diploma courses available for study are:

  • The Certificate of Assessment of Professional Achievement (CAVA) is the only qualification required to build a career as an assessor. The certificate will provide sufficient proof that the apprentice has acquired the knowledge and skills to assess professional and educational abilities using a range of assessment methods.
  • Diploma in Education and Training – suitable for those who have a full-time teaching function and will be applying for QTLS, qualified teacher status. The diploma provides training for individuals who desire or pursue a teaching role with a wide range, including those with many years of experience. 

UG Courses, Undergraduate Level Courses

MRC offers undergraduate courses designed and aimed at helping students prepare to build a career in a specific profile. The goal is achieved by acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary for the current dynamic work environment.

  • Accounting & Finance

Accounting and finance are a major part of any business operation. A widely recognized degree created with the goal of teaching and developing students' critical and analytical abilities will help students achieve top-level professional skills.  

  • Business Management

This bachelor's degree will help students gain an in-depth understanding of business in management, entrepreneurship, leadership, and operations. During the first year, they will learn basic management concepts, develop business skills, and learn how to apply knowledge to solve practical business problems. The course will prepare students for a variety of business roles, developing strategies, managing teams, and making decisions in a rapidly changing business world.  

  • Business Management with Preparatory Course

The Bachelor of Business Administration with Foundation Course program is a curriculum for students who need extra support to transition to a degree program. It prepares students to develop skills in business, communication, and problem-solving – upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, they will move on to a three-year degree program.  The Bachelor of Business Management with Foundation Year degree will provide students with the skills necessary for a career in the corporate, managerial or business sector. The course will also be useful for those who aspire to become an entrepreneur or intend to work in the field of strategic, operational management, marketing and human resource management.

Master of Business Administration

  • Age — from 21 years old,
  • The duration of training is one to one and a half years.

MRC offers students who already have a bachelor's degree an international master's qualification in business administration. The course is created in partnership with the New University of Buckinghamshire.

The curriculum includes the study of many aspects of the profession, including:

  • International Financial Management,
  • Marketing strategy in a constant world,
  • Leadership, management and talent development,
  • International Logistics and Operational Efficiency,
  • Strategic Leadership,
  • Project Management,
  • Organizational Resilience,
  • Digital Leadership,
  • Dissertation.

The structure of the program is designed for 12-15 months, during which 180 credits can be obtained. Students study eight modules, each of which has 15 credits, as well as a final self-study module (dissertation) of 60 credits.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Mont Rose College does not have residential buildings.

The campus has a dining room and cafeteria where students can purchase snacks, drinks, hot lunches, sandwiches, and salads at affordable prices. In addition, there is a Starbucks café on campus, a famous coffee shop serving pastries and hot drinks, including seasonal and holiday menus.

Activities Mont Rose College

A lot of different events are regularly held at the educational sites: from seminars and scientific forums to themed parties, concerts and entertainment evenings.

One of the regular events is African History Month – every year in October, the campus is decorated with flags and flowers, symbolizing Africa's natural wealth, its complex history and long-standing traditions. In this way, the college shows the importance of international support and knowledge of history.

The Redbridge Green Fair is another event sponsored by Mont Rose College. The event aims to unite the community and raise awareness of new technologies in the field of ecology. At the fair, visitors are offered a variety of food, souvenirs, jewelry and clothing created using sustainable methods. Students of the college are happy to participate in the event, helping the invitees and organizing the space, offering visitors to purchase bags made of recycled cotton, seed packages for planting shrubs and trees.

Mont Rose College provides students with the opportunity to participate in the Angel Completion competition, which will allow them to meet with representatives of business industry companies, get a chance for an internship and recommendations from experts in their field of interest. The competition consists of two stages:

  • An exhibition at Mont Rose College, where students will present their business ideas, answer questions from judges and viewers,
  • The final stage, in which the student must present financial information about the business, marketing strategies, and logistics. For 10 minutes, the student gives a presentation in front of the audience and then answers questions. After discussion, judges select candidates for individual communication, excursions to production facilities and further career interactions.

The MRC Student Union is the main community of students who organize activities, excursions, events. During the academic year, the members of the union communicate with the college management to improve the process of learning and recreation on campus, collect the wishes of students on the topics of extracurricular activities. At the moment, specialized interest clubs operate on the educational grounds of Mont Rose College, fairs and exhibitions are held, excursions to city and regional attractions are planned. The extracurricular life of MRC pupils is rich and varied, providing them with the freedom to develop individual goals, talents and strengths.

Facilities and equipment at Mont Rose College

The college has three campuses in London. The infrastructure of the study areas meets all the needs of young professionals: from giving lectures in bright classrooms to developing individual talents in specialized studios, the campuses are ready to educate young, interested and ambitious minds.

The main campus of Mont Rose House, just a two-minute walk from Gants Hill Station, has been in use since January 2018. This is the newest learning area, offering a seven-storey building with many rooms:

  • Library
  • Two computer rooms,
  • Large indoor dining room with shaded outdoor area,
  • Games room with table tennis, billiards,
  • A small gym with gym equipment.

Most of the academic classes take place on the main campus.

The second newest campus is Churchill House. It is a four-storey building located in north London. The study area was named after one of the greatest leaders of British politics. In the large halls of the building and in its outdoor area, any event can be held, whether it is a graduation party, a themed seminar or a Christmas party.

Shakespeare House is the southern learning site and the oldest campus in Mont Rose, opened in 2014. It is located in Ilford and has premises for the college's health and welfare department. The building also prepares:

  • Cozy dining room with seating in the courtyard.

The campus has the advantage of its proximity to St. Valentine Park, where students can enjoy the quiet after a long day of school.

The college provides its students with modern technologies and high-quality equipment for obtaining academic knowledge and mastering personal skills:

  • Computer and Internet services: both specialized educational computers for use in the classroom and a large number of computers for extracurricular activities. High-speed broadband Internet connection and free Wi-Fi hotspots are available throughout the property,
  • Library Aid: a repository with hundreds of books of different themes and orientations, which are available both in the reading rooms and on rent,
  • Moodle is an online platform for sharing academic documents and communicating with teachers outside of the classroom. It is available around the clock and seven days a week, from anywhere in the world,
  • Equipment for each classroom: whiteboards, overhead projectors and portable multimedia projectors for educational purposes,
  • Photocopying, multi-machine printing center,
  • Specialized Administrative Departments: Staff help students open local bank accounts, look for housing, renew student visas, and prepare for the start of an academic career.

Admission dates and extra charges

The academic year lasts from autumn to mid-summer, with three semesters. Classes are organized on weekdays: in the morning or in the evening, and rest is on weekends and on national and international holidays.

In addition, students will have to pay:

  • Meals in the dining room,
  • Additional academic and some extracurricular activities,
  • Administrative support,
  • Use of some equipment on campus, such as printing and other office equipment,
  • Personal spending.

  • Clarification of the requirements for enrollment in the course required by the applicant,
  • Filling out an online application and submitting documents,
  • Entrance testing (online or in-person) after the response of the admissions committee,
  • Arrival at the campus to complete the final administrative paperwork and start your studies.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Some programs have special requirements for the previous stage of education and its profile. Applicants are required to provide copies of the following documents:

  • Personal: passport, health insurance, visa or residence permit,
  • Academic: diplomas and certificates of previous places of study, evaluative transcripts,
  • Proof of English language proficiency: students will be more comfortable attending classes with a level of at least B2.

Recommendations from the Admissions Committee:

  • All documents must be translated into English and certified,
  • Institutions of previous education must be accredited,
  • If there are individual successes, victories and scholarships, the future student should provide them along with the mandatory documents.
