Pre-College Program

  • Age — from 18 years old.

Each student enrolled in a college preparatory course chooses two majors for in-depth study, each of which is given the same amount of time. In the process of studying, beginners will make sketches, discuss art and participate in workshops with experienced teachers, taking advice and criticism. All students, for example, draw a nude model during shape drawing classes to support major subjects and improve technical skills.

College preparation provides a rigorous pace and workload similar to the first semester of art college. While no portfolio is required to participate in the program, students are expected to be firmly committed to three weeks of intensive daily classes in the studio and additional work in the evenings and weekends. Students have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admissions counselors and participate in an informal review of their portfolios along the way.

At the end of the three weeks, students put on a final exhibition of their work, participate in a closing ceremony, and earn three college-level elective credits.

Specializations of the program:

  • Illustration: comics and graphic novels,
  • Drawing
  • Print
  • Ceramics
