Description of Loyola University Summer Camp

Loyola University Summer is a summer English language camp on the campus of Loyola University in Chicago. During the summer holidays, schoolchildren and teenagers from 13 to 17 years old can receive education in an English language learning program adapted for foreign students ( ESL ).

 The course includes 20 academic hours a week, classes are held in small study groups of 8-10 people.

The students are educated by qualified teachers who teach Loyola University students for a year.

English summer camp

  • Age: 13-17 years old
  • Duration of the program: from 2 weeks.

The training course includes 20 English lessons per week: from Monday to Friday study, on Saturdays a cultural and entertainment program - full day excursions to Chicago or Lake Michigan, and on Sunday - rest.

Academic classes begin at 9 am and take place until 12.30 pm, and after lunch, students of the summer school can devote time to sports or creativity. Also from 13.30 to 15 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays for students organized discussions and discussions on classes, held on weekdays or weekends.

On Saturdays, there is a full-day cultural program for students at the school: these can be excursions and other events included in the calendar of events at Loyola University in Chicago.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Loyola University Summer students live in the residential residences of the extensive Loyola University campus in the city of Chicago. Here, young people have all the conditions for a comfortable stay: comfortable rooms, a shared bathroom on the floor, a laundry room and not only.

The tuition fee of the summer program also includes meals in the canteen on campus. Each student of the course automatically receives a meal ticket - 21 times a week. In addition, young people can find a place to have a snack near the campus - various bistros, cafes or restaurants.

Activities Loyola University Summer Camp

In addition to academic classes, Loyola University Summer provides a rich extracurricular program: it includes various cultural workshops, outdoor activities in the afternoon and full day excursions on weekends. In addition, on the territory of the summer school, young people can take part in various physical, social and cultural events that help foreign students learn English outside the classroom in an informal setting. In the evenings, the school also hosts entertainment.

An excursion program is provided for school students: sightseeing walks through Chicago, visiting Lake Michigan, going to museums (American History Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Holocaust Museum, etc.), theaters, numerous parks of North Chicago, and river trips. Mandatory for foreign students will be organized visits to attractions such as Six Flags, Navy Pier, Planetarium and others.
