The pre-university of the Moscow State Linguistic University is a structural unit of the university, created for the specialized education of children from the age of 14, opened on April 1, 2015 on the basis of the Linguistic Lyceum No. 1555. The history of interaction between the school and the university began back in 1988, when the school with in-depth practical and theoretical study of foreign languages No. 1255 became part of the Experimental educational complex at the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Languages (MGIIA) named after M. M. Toreza. Among the tasks of the educational institution, the main one was the revival of the traditions of classical liberal arts education and the implementation of experimental work on teaching foreign languages to schoolchildren.

- Reading and the oral part of the exam - 36 hours.
- The written part of the exam (personal letter, essay) in a foreign language - 36 hours.

Preparatory course for entrance examinations in the Pre-University - 13-15 years
The Lyceum conducts courses "Preparation for admission to the Pre-university for students in grades 7, 8". The programs are focused on generalization, repetition of the material of school courses, the development of speech and cognitive skills, familiarity with the format of the entrance exam.
Programs:
- Foreign language (English, German, French) - 100 hours (2 lessons per week, 90 min.)
- Russian language - 75 hours (two lessons per week, 70 minutes each).
Preparatory course for intellectual competitions (Olympiads) - 14-17 years
Course duration - 60 hours (1 lesson - 125 min.)
MSLU - for children, 12-16 years old.
The pre-university of the Moscow State Linguistic University invites schoolchildren of grades 6-9 to additional educational courses for in-depth study of foreign languages (English, German, French).
The author's program "MSLU for Children" is developed in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standards and includes:
