The LAL New York School operates on the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx. The LAL New York Language School is less than 20 minutes' drive from the center of the Big Apple. An educational institution on the territory of Fordham University gives its students the opportunity not only to improve their English skills, but also to adapt to the American university environment.

At the school, students are offered language courses aimed at developing communication skills. Lessons are held in an interactive form. Qualified teachers, certified for teaching English as a foreign language, work with students. Every summer the school receives more than 200 students from different countries. Multinational environment of the school promotes development of communication skills. Summer Standard / Semi-Intensive English Course

Brief Information about program for those wishing to improve English during the summer holidays in New York.

About the course: the curriculum provides two options for the load. Standard course (20 lessons per week) leaves more time for rest, excursions, entertainment. Semi-intensive (24 lessons or 18 hours / week) allows you to focus on improving skills, gaining new knowledge. The emphasis in learning is done on spoken English, taking into account the peculiarities of American vocabulary.

  • Students age: 13 to 18 years.
  • Start dates: 01.07 - 29.07.
  • Admission requirements: the level of English - from A1.
  • Learning outcomes: consolidation of existing language skills, development of new ones, acquisition of self-confidence when communicating in English.
  • Class size: 15 students.
  • Lesson duration: 45 minutes.

The cost of the program includes the payment of tuition (services of educators, materials provided, etc.), accommodation in a residence, half-board meals, transfer, extra-curricular activities, 4 excursions, medical, tourist insurance, LAL certificate on the passing language courses.

Summer school for children from 11 to 17 years old with an English level from A1. These are English lessons + various on-line activities for children.

Perhaps the full version of the program (from Mon to Fri, 15 hours of classes per week) or the light version (classes 2 days a week for 2 hours).

On-line activities for children: See the World, Street View Scavengers, Geek Challenge, Selfie World, Brain Food, LAL Physical, etc.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students are offered accommodation in a residence called Lincoln Center Campus at the Fordham University. There are 88 apartments with 2 to 5 rooms. Students can choose between single and double accommodation. Living in the apartments have access to the living room, kitchen, bathroom. Half board is offered. For students of 18 years old, accommodation without meals is possible.

Students at leisure time can play sports (Fordham University's infrastructure practically does not restrict them in the choice of sections and directions), creativity (on the Rose Hill campus there are circles of interest). Also, students can enjoy entertainment events such as:

Excursions are provided by the program. There are 4 excursions per week such as:

Daily routine

Lessons are held from 9:00 to 12:30. After lunch and in the evening, students are offered leisure activities.
