King's College is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Britain. In summer, King's College London hosts a summer language school for children and teenagers aged 13-18, which harmoniously combines productive study and fun.

College Kings London itself has many regalia and achievements, one of which is the status of the third oldest institution in Britain after Oxford and Cambridge! Intensive English

  • Age of students: 13-16/16-18 years old
  • Duration of the program: 2 or 4 weeks.

The course of the summer school of English will help the children to fill the possible gaps in knowledge, because here they are waited many hours of language practice in different interactive formats - these are ordinary lessons in the classroom, outdoor lessons on the school grounds, as well as trips to the city, sightseeing tours and etc.

Each week the guys will improve their English for 15 hours (about three hours a day) in academic studies, and then during informal communication with classmates and friends. Teachers will work out with the children grammar, writing, reading and purity of pronunciation. A special emphasis on the summer course is given to the development of fluency in speech - for this the teachers communicate with each student a lot. Also, a complete immersion in the language environment helps to overcome the language barrier.

After completing the course, students receive a certificate of participation, and they also have accumulated knowledge and improved self-development skills.

IELTS Preparation

The program of intensive, effective preparation for the IELTS exam, which is necessary for foreign students to enter any English-speaking country in the world: schools, colleges, universities.

The program consists of two blocks:

  • Basic English course = 17.5 hours per week,
  • Special preparation for IELTS – theoretical and practical = 7.5 hours per week.

Students prepare their own projects (personal and group), explore academic English, participate in discussions to improve oral and debating skills, attend special lessons, the topics of which are confirmed on excursions.

Thematic lessons on preparation for IELTS will help to get acquainted with the structure of the exam, its parts and features, learn typical pitfalls and frequent difficulties. Students will objectively assess their strengths and weaknesses (and learn how to tighten up the latter), learn how to correctly allocate time for different types of tasks, reduce the level of stress in preparation for an important exam.

The course offers board accommodation and meals, for free hours at least 2 full excursions are planned. For example:

The Young Performer

A special summer program for those students who plan to build a career in the field of performing arts, want to become professional actors, stage workers, dancers, screenwriters, etc. All master classes, lectures and classes are conducted by professional partners from the West End, London theaters, drama studios, etc. Are connected as additional examples Music, theatrical art, choreography, musicals - all this in a successful combination of theoretical and Hands-on exercises will make you a star of the stage!

By rooms, the guys are accommodated, given the gender (girls and boys separately) and age. In the building with the children there are also educators who watch their pupils around the clock and follow the rules, if necessary, they can help the children.

Also in the summer language school, King's College London pupils are provided with meals on a full board basis (three times a day). The diet for the summer menu is formed based on the needs of the growing body and the possible preferences of adolescents. In the dining room of the college  a vegetarian menu also prepares. In addition, students have the opportunity to eat in cafes and fast food establishments located near the campus of the college.
