The International Institute of Economics and Law was founded in 1992, for 30 years of work the university has graduated more than 70,000 students. Today MIEP is one of the leading institutes in Moscow. Graduates of the university are freely oriented in modern sources of information and throughout their studies receive fundamental knowledge in the future professional sphere.
Educational process
The educational process is built taking into account the harmonious development of students. The academic year is developed according to the calendar schedule of the educational process. Lesson schedules are drawn up for the semester. In the process of mastering educational programs, students are provided with holidays.
Faculties and colleges
On the basis of the International Institute of Economics and Law there are three graduating departments:
- private law;
- public law;
- economic disciplines.
To date, MIEP has opened about 17 branches throughout the country.
Scientific achievements
Research activities at MIEP are carried out in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation. The scientific activities of the university are based on the concepts and strategies for the development of science in Russia and regulatory documents of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Since December 2010, MIEP has been publishing the scientific and analytical journal "Bulletin of the International Institute of Economics and Law".

Student life at MIEP is harmoniously combined with the acquisition of fundamental knowledge of the future profession. Students of the university take an active part in charity events.
Concerts are held annually in honor of all-Russian holidays, students take part in inter-university sports competitions.
Excursions are organized every year: MIEP students were able to visit St. Petersburg, the residence of Leo Tolstoy in Yasnaya Polyana and participated in a tourist gathering.
Facilities and equipment at International Institute of Economics and Law, NOU MIEP
The MIEP building is located in the center of Moscow. Good transport and walking accessibility of the university allows students to easily navigate in the urban environment. A 13-minute walk from MIEP is the metro station "Elektrozavodskaya", and in between pairs, students can stroll along the Rubtsovskaya embankment and admire the Yauza River.
The MIEP building is equipped with classrooms, its own library with a reading room and three sports halls. Classrooms are equipped with multimedia projectors, computers and interactive whiteboards for conducting lectures and defending abstracts.
In the building of MIEP there is a medical center to assist students and teachers.
Admission dates and extra charges
The educational process at MIEP was created on the basis of the semester training system. One academic year is divided into two semesters, each of which lasts approximately 4 to 5 months. At the end of the semester, an orientation and examination session lasting 20-25 days is held.
Due to the absence of a hostel for nonresident students on the basis of the institute, one of the main lines of students' costs will be renting an apartment or room. In addition to the cost of living, you should take into account the food basket, leisure and transport. On average, the monthly budget of the future student will be estimated at about $ 200-$ 250.
To save transport costs, the student will need a social transport card valid in Moscow and the Moscow region. You can issue such a card in the MFC.
Enrolment process
According to the admission rules established by the MIEP administration, the deadline for submitting documents for the first year of the full-time department runs from March 1 to October 13 of the current year. The applicant must collect the package of documents established by the rules of the institute and submit it to the admission committee. List of documents approved by MIEP:
- Application for admission;
- Certificate of secondary general education or diploma of vocational education, HPE (original or copy);
- Identity and citizenship document (passport copy: first page and registration);
- 2-4 photos in size 3×4 (for passing internal entrance exams and for enrollment);
- Documents confirming the presence of individual achievements (copy or original);
- Medical certificate in the prescribed form (only for full-time students and is provided after enrollment);
- Documents confirming the right to benefits;
- SNILS (copy);
- Registration certificate or military ID (for conscripts);
- Materials of entrance tests (results of the Unified State Exam or internal written testing).
The International Institute of Economics and Law provides an opportunity for future students to take a trial test. Upon successful completion of online testing, the applicant is provided with a certificate, which in the future will be useful when submitting documents.

The MIEP administration helps graduates with employment by posting current vacancies on the official website of the university.
Graduates of the university at the end of training receive a diploma of the state sample.
Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
Active students and inquisitive minds everywhere are priority candidates for admission to the university. When accepting documents at MIEP, the following requirements are put forward:
- Completed secondary general (11 grades), secondary vocational or higher education;
- Successful completion of entrance examinations or the Unified State Exam (including for foreign citizens). Grades obtained as a result of passing the Unified State Exam can be taken into account if they were received no earlier than four years before the date of completion of the receipt of documents;
- Documents confirming the presence of sports achievements, conducting scientific activities and participation in Olympiads.
Passing scores based on the results of the Unified State Exam:
- Russian language – 36 points;
- Mathematics – 27 points;
- Social Studies – 42 points;
- History – 32 points;
- Foreign language – 22 points;
- Informatics and information and communication technologies (ICT) - 40 points.
Entrance tests conducted by MIEP independently take the form of testing in Russian language.

Every year, the administration of the university opens a set of students for about 5,000 places. The most popular areas of training among students are "Jurisprudence" and "Economics". 3500 places are allocated for these education programs: 2500 - "Jurisprudence" and 1000 - "Economics".
