Inlingua Cheltenham (English language school Inlingua Cheltenham) is a prestigious school that began operating in 1990 and has since proven itself in the best possible way. The course is intended for people of the older generation (from 50 years) with any level of ownership, starting from elementary. Education lasts 1 or 2 weeks and includes active language classes and a program of excursions and activities. Classes are held on weekdays from Monday to Friday before lunch (in total, 20 lessons of 45 minutes). After lunch, students will enjoy an entertainment and cultural program, on a weekend (Saturday), a full day excursion will be conducted. Lessons are built around the main sections of linguistics (grammar, vocabulary, speaking, speaking, listening) + additional topics: studying the cultural characteristics of the country, an active language in everyday life, the history of the emergence of certain customs, discussion of attractions and events. Groups of a small number (maximum 12 people) help teachers to devote a lot of time to each student and help him in solving all complex issues. During the time spent at the school, students significantly improve the level of the language and learn a lot of interesting things about the traditions and rules of behavior in English society.

  • Classes start on May 7, May 21, June 11, June 18, August 6, August 13, September 10, September 17, September 24.
  • Participation in the program can be accepted by people from all over the world aged 50 years and over. The course is designed for students with any level of English, starting from elementary. The duration of the course is chosen depending on the need and is 1 or 2 weeks. The schedule includes lessons that are held before lunch from Monday to Friday, afternoon activities and a full day excursion on Saturday. Each week, there are 20 lessons, 45 minutes each. Classes are held in small groups, which helps to give maximum attention to each student and explain all difficult questions and topics. In the classroom, exercises are conducted on the main sections of linguistics, as well as on current topics, discussion of the sights to be visited. During the lessons, the level of language improves, the vocabulary expands, students learn a lot about the sights of Cheltenham, its environs and other cities in England.

    General English (LSP)

    • Age: From 16 years old
    • Level: any, from the initial
    • Duration: from 1 to 48 weeks.

    The General English course is designed for all comers, who need to improve their level for study, work or everyday communication. Groups are recruited and conducted year round, classes start every Monday, education can last from 1 to 48 weeks depending on wishes and needs. Education is conducted in groups of 10 people maximum (in July-August, 12 people). The course is divided into several types:

    1) Group:

    • LSP 30. Intensive English course for 30 lessons per week (22.5 hours). Classes are held from 09.00 to 15.00 from Monday to Friday, including breaks
    • LSP 20. A semi-intensive course with 20 lessons per week (15 hours) and employment from 09.00 to 12.15
    • LSP 10. A short-term course for students who do not need to register a visa specifically for schooling. Includes 10 lessons per week (7.5 hours), which are held from 13.30 to 15.00 from Monday to Friday.

    2) Group + individual (1 on 1):

    • LSP 30 + 5/10. Includes 30 group and 5 or 10 individual lessons
    • LSP 20 + 5/10. 20 group and 5 or 10 individual lessons.

    Lessons include classes in all major sections of linguistics:

    • Grammar and vocabulary
    • Speaking
    • Written speech
    • Listening
    • Reading
    • Business English
    • Communication and communication skills
    • Additional topics.

    Teachers have a wide experience of work and wide erudition, they build a comfortable atmosphere in classrooms, apply the most modern methods and technologies. Classes are held with short breaks, especially on intensive courses, to enable students to rest and be distracted. Adding individual classes to the main program in a 1 to 1 format is a great way to help a student focus on any goals or weaknesses.     Accommodation, meals, prices

    Students are offered a choice of different accommodation options:

    • Host family
    • Individual accommodation (hotels, apartments).

    Living in a family gives students the opportunity to learn a lot about traditions and lifestyles in the country, as well as actively practice their language in live communication. All families undergo a careful selection and checks that meet the standards of the British Council and the British Inspectorate of private schools - families with which the school cooperates, host students from around the world for many years. Most of the houses are within walking distance from the center, and the maximum journey time by public transport takes 20 minutes. There are two types of placement:

    • Standard Homestay (single room with full furniture and shared bathroom)
    • Executive Homestay (single room and private bathroom).

    Meals include breakfast and dinner (half board), different types of meals are possible.

    Individual accommodation is organized in the hotel or in the Bed & Breakfast format. The staff of the center assist in the selection of the appropriate option and design. Nutrition student plans independently.
