Hankyong National University is the only public university in Gyeonggi-do. It was founded in 1939 with a charity donation from Pak-Peel Beng as an Agricultural School. At the very beginning of its journey, the university offered general education programs: in addition to agricultural sciences, students studied historical geography, mathematics, dialects, music, self-improvement, gymnastics, English and Chinese. Over time, specialties have become more focused in order to graduate professionals that are competitive in their field.

The university dormitory is a modern seven-story building. All students in need can get a place here: first of all, applications from excellent students, freshmen and foreign students are considered. 2-4 people live in the rooms, there is all the necessary furniture, sanitary rooms for the unit, kitchens, self-study rooms.
Students can cook on their own by buying groceries in city stores. Ready meals can be bought in the dining room and cafeteria.

Facilities and equipment at Hankyong National University
On the campus there is a student clinic where students can receive the necessary medical care. A body composition analyzer is available for self-care, thanks to which students can determine the percentage of fat, water, muscles in the body, an individual daily norm of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
