Goldsmiths College  is a college with summer courses at the University of London. Having gone through many years of development and improvement, the college now educates more than 10,000 jewelry students from different countries annually.

On the campus of the college in the summer months, English language courses are held for students from 10 to 17 years old, which are taught by qualified teachers. In addition to applied skills, students will receive an unforgettable experience of living in the UK, many activities and sightseeing tours. Multinationality among pupils is also a distinctive feature - each of them will make new friends from different parts of the world, will be able to explore cultures and practice languages.

English Course

  • Age - from 10 to 15 years,
  • The duration of training is 14 or 21 days.

The English course can be completed in two or three weeks. The duration of training does not affect the content of the program, except for the number of academic hours: with a two-week course, students will attend 30 hours of lessons, and with a three-week course - 46.

Training takes place in small classes with a teacher-to-student ratio of 1 to 15. On them, students will communicate a lot with each other, watch movies and read books, use augmented reality tools and play games. A communicative approach to education is at the heart of the program, as it helps students to quickly assimilate academic material and use new knowledge in practice.

The two- and three-week program includes the same excursions, where students will be able to explore London, Cambridge, Brighton and their sights. Activities organized on campus are also fully included in any of the course durations.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Accommodation of students is organized in a comfortable dormitory on the territory of the college: students occupy rooms for two people, use shared bathrooms and toilets, spend time in recreation and self-study halls.

Participants of the course are provided with three meals a day, served in the canteen at a set time. All dietary and religious food needs are met by a team of qualified chefs. On the days of excursions and trips to local attractions, students are given packed lunches.

Activities Goldsmiths College Summer School

Students spend their free time together: the schedule includes collective movie screenings, board and video game evenings, talent shows, a variety of master classes and much more. Within two or three weeks, students will be able to visit the famous sights of London and nearby cities:

  • A full day of walking in Brighton and a visit to the Seal Life Center,
  • Tour of London with a river cruise, a trip to Madame Tussauds,
  • A full day in Cambridge with a walking tour and boating on the River Cam.

Campus Goldsmiths College is located in New Cross, a densely populated area in  south-east London. The education takes place in modern classrooms, in open areas, sports and playgrounds, as well as on thematic trips. Students have access to the entire infrastructure of the college: from classrooms to living rooms.

Enrolment process

You can enroll in the program completely remotely. Applicants should fill out the registration form, attaching the necessary documents to it, and then pay the entry fee and expect a positive response from the admissions committee.

After receiving an invitation to study, prospective students must pass a language test to determine their abilities. It can also be completed remotely by answering questions in several sections: "Grammar", "Reading", "Listening", "Conversation", "Writing".

Based on the test results, students are divided into groups.

Perspectives

Upon completion of the education, graduates receive a certificate of completion of the course and an academic report that contains the details of the program: English hours, progress made, teacher assessment. The certificate confirms the hard work of the student and his real level of linguistics, can be used for admission to subsequent educational institutions.

Those wishing to study at the summer course must provide personal documents: a foreign passport, medical insurance, a student visa or a residence permit.

Admission is carried out regardless of the initial level of knowledge of the English language, as the course is suitable for everyone: from beginners to advanced language users.

- MBA requires completed higher education, work experience preferably at least 2-3 years, etc.
