Description of DID Potsdam Language school

DID language school Potsdam has been organizing language courses for foreign students for over 40 years - today it is one of the largest German language centers, annually more than 5000 pupils are enrolled for training. It is not surprising that the teaching of the German language is most effective in his homeland, in Germany - a positive effect in the study is achieved through intensive academic work, full immersion in the language and learning environment, familiarity with the culture and traditions of the country.

Language courses are especially popular in the summer, vacation period. Potsdam is a large developed city, the road to Berlin takes only 38 minutes (on a modern high-speed train). In Potsdam there are a lot of monuments and historical sights - for example, the New Palace, Sanssouci, the Greenhouse Palace, the Babelsberg film studio, whose films are known all over the world. Potsdam is a student and benevolent city, its population is more than 15% of the pupils of local educational institutions, and the DID Potsdam Language School is happy to open its doors to students from all over the world.

Minimum requirements: A1 - B2 | Level of knowledge of the Elementary language.

Course dates: every Monday during the summer season. Unfortunately, students can not participate in these courses without knowledge of the German language.

Maximum number of students: 15 people.

Class duration: 45 minutes.

Duration: 2-4 weeks.

The program of the course was designed in such a way that even young students could effectively and intensively study the German language, the program is maximally oriented to practical application in real life. Classes are most often conducted in a playful, easy and informal manner. Before the beginning of the program, students must pass an entrance test that determines their level of language and distributes them into homogeneous groups, and at the end of the courses each student receives a corporate certificate.

Accommodation, meals, prices

The participants of the courses live in host families - it is not only a guarantee of comfort and safety, but also an opportunity to constantly practice language skills with direct speakers, a chance to get to know the traditions, culture and way of life of the family. The houses of host families are located in such a way that the path to the school does not exceed 45 minutes by public transport. Students live in rooms for 2 people, fully equipped with necessary furniture and appliances, comfortable and comfortable. Rooms per person on request. Meals are organized according to the full boarding system, three times a day.

Activities DID Potsdam Language school

The school organizes a large number of extra-curricular activities for students - sports, entertainment, cognitive (four times a week), excursions and trips are also provided. On Saturdays, students go on a long field trip, which is designed for the whole day.

In addition, students are happy to see the many sights and monuments of Berlin, walk through its lively interesting areas (for example, Prenzlauer Berg), visit the nearby town of Wittenberge.

  2. one way from / to the central train station of the course location : 25 €
  • One-way transfer until 8:00 and after 20:00: 35 €
  • One-way transfer for unaccompanied minors: 35 €
  • Collection from single room: 75 € per week / Additional night: 75 €
