Digital Media Academy conducts educational summer camps on the campus of the prestigious George Washington University. The university offers equipped classrooms equipped with all the technologies necessary to provide high-quality education. Participants in the Illustration & Animation Academy course will learn how to make storyboards, create characters, and ready-to-use resources for films, commercials, and video games. They will learn the basic skills of storytelling using pictures, master the workflows of a professional studio. Using modern tools for creating works of art - Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Photoshop, students will perform work of professional quality. By the end of classes, students will develop several elements of the portfolio, allowing you to start a career as an animator, commercial artist.

Game Development Academy with VR

Digital Media Academy offers teens the opportunity to become creators of digital media, their own game or virtual reality experience. Using the standard Unity development environment, students will learn how to use the Unity editor, develop levels, environments, C # mechanics, and carry out several managed projects. Audio & Music Production participants will master professional music production and learn how to use the industry’s most important instruments, including Ableton Live. Students will record, change sounds, learn layers, mixing, sampling, program, record their own digital music.

Young people listen to an introduction to music production with Ableton: learn how to structure a song, recreate sounds, their own unique tracks. Topics covered include recording, audio sampling, an advanced synthesizer, drum programming, improvisation, mixing basics, mastering.

The program allows students to understand the theory, composition, and music production process, and will study advanced audio techniques. By the end of the week, students will learn to compose, produce their own song, apply advanced concepts of music production.

Filmmaking academy

Young people will master the filmmaking process using high-quality cameras Canon, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects. Each week ends with a film screening, where students' work is shown to the class, staff, and parents.

An introduction to film production and video production with Premiere begins with the basic principles of a short narrative film: script structure, functionality, camera operation, role description. Young people will master teamwork, make storyboards, master direction, editing. Finally, students upload each project to their own YouTube channel.

Young people will get acquainted with the design of captions, the basic VFX Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, will begin work on a short project. Participants will film projects of various genres, including narration, music video, documentary films. Young people will leave the course with several completed film projects.

Each image published by the media today is processed using image editing software. Regardless of whether students are considering a career as a graphic designer or are interested in how it all works, the course will help them further explore the basics. The course allows you to develop your own portfolio of digital photos, students will master all the intricacies of graphic design, apply leading software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.

Young people will learn digital photography, Photoshop, learn how to create stunning digital photos, improve images of Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop. Artificial Intelligence Academy

The course participants will learn how artificial intelligence, automation will do most of the work that 16-24-year-old workers do today.

Program participants will consider machine learning tools, the leading development language of Python AI, and develop amazing things: they will teach a computer to play a favorite game, recognize patterns that a person does not see, and use interactive simulations. Using programming and mastery of algorithms, students will find use for computers that they never thought were possible.

Young people will master the introduction to artificial intelligence, machine learning using Python: students will work to understand the basics of machine learning, artificial intelligence, influence our world, create their own machine learning projects with block programming. As they progress through the course, students will learn the basics of python programming by creating machine learning projects: chat bots, predictive models, game bots.

Participants will make animated films using the same processes as the animators Pixar, Cartoon Network, Disney. Creating drawings using production methods such as timelines, keyframes, Toon Boom Harmony is the same software that was used to create Sponge Bob, many other popular cartoons. Students will develop teamwork skills, share each other's interests, and learn additional animation methods.

Participants require the English language proficiency at a level sufficient for the training and understanding of instructors, communication with fellow students

Scholarships George Washington University Summer Camp

The Nudelman Family Fund provides DMA students with a thousand full scholarships, thanks to which the Academy offers world-class STEM education to a large number of interested, motivated students from different walks of life. They gain access to high-quality learning experiences regardless of the financial capacity of families, and half of the scholarships will be reserved for girls. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, needs, and will cover tuition fees, meals, service fees. Applicants fill out an application on the site, applications are completed 2 weeks before the start date of the selected course.

Recommendations on when to apply

Language courses, schools and children's language camps Primary and secondary education - private schools Preparation programmes for entering universities - higher education Higher education (after completing accredited programs A-level, IB, High School) - Bachelor, Master, MBA
- we recommend to apply 6-9 months before the start of the course (some camps and schools offer discounts for early booking or for lengthy study programs)
- there are some very popular and high demand children's camps, where the applications need to be submitted 1 year in advance (in particular Switzerland , Great Britain , USA , Canada , Austria)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the training program,
- some schools have a specific time frame (September-November - please specify an individual school)
- some schools require tests in several stages (UKISET, internal tests of the school: English, mathematics, logics, subjects, interview, some require a personal visit)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the program,
- for Foundation and Pathway programs, IELTS and TOEFL certificates are usually required, respectively

- recommended submission one year before the start of the program,
- the deadline normally closes in January, for TOP HEIs and, as a rule, in March in other universities
- for a bachelor, a Foundation or Pathway preparatory program a completed A-level, IB, High School + IELTS / TOEFL are required
- for Masters you need a graduated higher education, in some cases you need a pre-Masters program
- MBA requires completed higher education, work experience preferably at least 2-3 years, etc.
