Colegio Internacional Meres was founded in 1966 and is located in Meres, Asturias, north of Spain. The educational institution offers a unique educational model that combines the Spanish curriculum and the IB. Colegio Internacional Meres pays great attention to academic excellence (the results of the "Spanish accreditation" EBAU are among the best), an international view of social values and the study of languages (English and French). Colegio is multicultural – it teaches several foreign languages. 80% of classes are taught in English and French, so students learn these languages daily. At the same time, this institution is international, so from an early age children get acquainted with these foreign languages and become bilingual.

The secondary institution works directly with Trinity College London for certification of teaching – primary school students take external exams with native teachers in both French and English. Later, in high school, children take an English language test for ISE II and III levels, which demonstrates their proficiency and fluency in the language.
