At the beginning of 2023, the first successful tests of the full-size passenger capsule of the Hyperloop ultra-fast train, developed by a Chinese research center, came to an end in China. According to the South China Morning Post, Hyperloop will be launched on the route between major Chinese cities - Guangzhou and Shanghai. Previously, it took passengers about three hours to cover the distance between these cities, but thanks to the creation of the Hyperloop line, passengers will be able to get from one city to another in just 15 minutes! The length of the new route will be 175 km, and the maximum speed that the Hyperloop will reach will be a staggering 1000 km / h.
The implementation of the Hyperloop project in China will significantly speed up the movement of passengers between cities, significantly reduce travel time and improve the quality of transportation. It is expected that this will be an important step in the development of China's transport infrastructure and will serve as an example for other countries wishing to introduce advanced technologies into their transportation systems.
Presumably, if an ultra-fast train similar to Hyperloop operates between Moscow and St. Petersburg, passengers will be able to cover the distance between cities in about 55 minutes. However, the actual travel time on this route when using Hyperloop is still unknown, since no official tests have been conducted.
