Description of Celtic English Academy

  • The age of students: 16 years and older
  • Location: Cardiff, Wales
  • Residence type: family or residence
  • Dates: all year round (arrivals on Sundays, departures on Saturdays).

Celtic English Academy in the capital of Wales, the hospitable and beautiful Cardiff, began its work in 2004, and today up to 350 people come here for annual summer courses, many of which remain to study for the entire academic year. Each teacher at Celtic English Academy is a native English speaker, has a high professional qualification (CELTA or DELTA), permission to work with foreign students and international groups, and the school itself has received accreditation and high marks from key British organizations, the British Council, Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) and English UK.

The school building is just a couple of minutes from the central streets of Cardiff: nearby you can find a huge number of bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes, shops, banks and a Pike, as well as numerous city attractions and cultural monuments (for example, the University of Cardiff, the National Museum of Wales). To study here is pleasant, comfortable and easy: the city has everything you need, which students of any age may need during the whole academic year (including ample opportunities for shopping and entertainment). At the same time life in Cardiff is much cheaper than, for example, in Dublin or London. In 2009, the capital of Wales was named the "European Capital of Sport", and in 2014 confirmed its rank: it is enough to mention such huge stadiums and sports facilities as Millennium, SWALEC and Cardiff City.

You can get to Heathrow Airport in about 3 hours (156 miles), and to Cardiff's local airport in just 35 minutes (14 miles).
