Butler High School participates in the Nacel Open Door F-1 Public School Program, an international program that enables international students to get an education in the American High School. The minimum duration of study is 1 academic year (from August to June), the age of students is from 15 to 18 years. Schools participating in the program are in different states: Vermont, North Carolina, California, Maine, etc. Usually lessons last from 8:00 to 15:30 (one session is 45-55 minutes), there is a half-hour break for lunch - at this time students can go to a cafe or dining room or eat lunch cooked at home. The peculiarity of this program is the full, comprehensive and continuous support of foreign students. Employees and supervisors understand very well that many international pupils for the first time go abroad for a long time and alone, so they strive to do everything possible to make stay and study in the country the most comfortable. The program has been successfully working for more than 10 years, hundreds of students have taken part in it - today about 500 pupils participate in Nacel, many of them decided to repeat the training and return to this system.
