Bedales School (Summer Programmes) is a private co-educational school that teaches programs for students from 3 to 18 years old during the academic year. In the summer months, short-term English courses are organized on its campus.
The institution was founded in 1893 as the first school to allow children of both sexes to study together. Since then, Bedales School has preserved traditions, but keeps pace with the development of the international educational system. The study area of Bedales School has been operating as a summer school not so long ago, but has already successfully taught students from different countries, including China, Russia, Germany and Italy.

English Course

The course helps students with different initial language skills to improve their level in understanding English. In the classroom, students will improve speaking and writing, communicate with each other, read and watch films.
The basis of the educational program is communication - it is this approach that allows students to better assimilate educational material. They immediately apply the knowledge gained in the classroom in conversations, at events and during field trips.
The course is offered in two versions: two or three weeks of continuous training. The differences between them are:
- Two-week program: 30 academic hours, trips to London, Winchester, Brighton and Thorpe,
- Three-week program: 46 academic hours, two excursions around London, trips to Brighton, Winchester, Thorpe, Salisbury.
Both courses include services such as full board, transfers, all activities on campus.
Accommodation, meals, prices
Students of summer programs are accommodated in the residence of the school: these are three buildings with a block arrangement of rooms, each of which is home to two or three students. Bathrooms and toilets are shared and located on the floors, and residents also have access to areas for self-study, communication and recreation, walking and playgrounds.
Accommodation at Bedales School provides for a full board format - all students of the course are provided with three meals a day, and on the days of excursions they receive packed lunches.

The courses include not only effective English classes, but also a lot of entertainment. Within two to three weeks, students will be able to see the nearest attractions, walk through gardens and forests, visit famous places in large metropolitan areas:

Enrolment process
The admission procedure includes filling out a registration form, paying a fee, and waiting for a response from the admissions committee. Enrollment occurs in descending order of vacant places, so candidates take turns to study.
After receiving a positive response to the registration form, applicants arrive on campus to take a language test (it can also be taken remotely). The test includes an assessment of skills in speaking, listening comprehension and comprehension, writing and reading.
After receiving the results, students are divided into groups according to their knowledge and begin their studies.
Perspectives
At the end of the course, graduates are issued a certificate and a report on their progress. They contain complete information about the completed program: hours of academic work, progress of language knowledge and assessment from the teacher.
