5 reliable ways... ruin your vacation

5 reliable ways... ruin your vacation

Vacation is a period that people look forward to every 6 months to take a break from work, gain new impressions and strength! In order not to spend the holidays monotonously, watching TV shows and movies, many of us plan to travel to new places. However, not always the vacation is successful, because life is unpredictable, some annoying trouble can easily happen. Moreover: some troubles are created by the travelers themselves and spoil the vacation that they have been waiting for for months!

Researchers from Canada conducted a sociological survey and asked Internet users what the main reasons for the failed vacation they could name. Among the most popular answers are 5 actions that many tourists perform.

Gadget Addiction

Tourists of the XXI century can spend all their vacation time in smartphones, tablets and laptops, not photographing their favorite landscapes, but communicating with friends. Respondents admit that even when traveling, it is difficult for them to break away from social networks and enjoy days in a new city or country, surrounding views and air. Moreover, a person who devotes more time to technology when traveling than to those with whom he went on vacation, upsets them and deprives them of attention. Survey participants insist that during the rest you need to forget about gadgets and focus on the beautiful world around.

Departure and return at the wrong time

People who want to stretch the journey as much as possible often return from vacation the morning of the first working day or the night before it. Going to work immediately after returning home, the traveler will spoil the impression of rest and will not get full pleasure from it. It is worth returning from the trip 1-2 days before the start of work in order to rebuild at home and prepare for the working week.

No backup plan

People who took part in the Canadian survey admitted that they were upset and did not want to do anything on vacation if their planned excursion was canceled or postponed to another day. They did not have a backup plan in case of force majeure, which spoiled their day, because they did not figure out where to go or go again.

Journey-improvisation

The travel scenario, where the tourist is looking for adventures on the go and does not plan excursions and routes in advance, is often unsuccessful, because it is rare to find the necessary entertainment on the spot. A tourist will lose a lot of valuable time to find out from the locals or on the Internet where to go, although he could do it from home and carve out additional hours for rest in the future. If a family or a group of friends came on vacation without a plan, there is a high probability of quarrels and altercations, because some will not want to go where their companions would like to go.

Selection of uncomfortable satellites

A vacation with people that the traveler does not like can spoil his mood and impression of the trip. Moreover, going on a trip with unfamiliar and unreliable people is not always a good idea, because their behavior is unpredictable. Psychologists say that all the psychological characteristics of a person during the vacation period become three times brighter, because he is worried about the flight, for being in a foreign city or country, and so on - it is much easier to start a conflict in such conditions than at home, where the walls help.
