Diploma Program

  • The training period is 9 months.

A professional diploma in the direction of "Film Production" can be obtained within nine months. The program provides for part-time employment and at the same time effective mastery of the curriculum.

Admission is open to both beginners in cinema and experienced professionals. The training is built on modern film production formats, including short and documentary films, branded content. The school provides unlimited access to the campus infrastructure: film equipment, film sets and allocated budgets for film projects.

During the three trimesters, students:

  • Learn how to manually expose moving images on a digital camera,
  • Get an idea of modern shooting rules,
  • learn how to record sound in accordance with the necessary parameters,
  • Get experience with LED lighting,
  • Will be interviewed by guests of TV shows,
  • They will understand how to work with standard industry documents.

By the end of the training, students will be able to demonstrate the acquired skills and receive a certificate.

The main difference between the diploma program and the rest is the lack of qualifications obtained at the end of training.

Facilities and equipment at Screen and Film School Brighton

The Screen and Film School campuses are located on two streets: Old Stein and London Road. The main building of Brighton Film Studios is just a short bus ride from Bevendin.

  1. The old Stein building boasts four floors of classrooms, including a large film set, cinema hall, student lounge and Mac Suite equipment. Weekly master classes and specialized classes are held here.
  2. Located within walking distance of the city's Production House station, the second building provides another roomy space for filming, a computer room with Avid, Mac and a set for editing, recreation and work on projects.

The area of the newest school building is about 11,000 square feet. Brighton's film studio, located just over two miles northeast of the centre, is one of the few film venues of its kind on the south coast. It includes:

  • Two floors of a technical warehouse with equipment for lighting, sound and shooting,
  • Editing package from Mac with modern editing software: Avid and Adobe,
  • Rooms for preparation for the filming process: hairstyles, makeup, costumes,
  • Production conference hall,
  • Common living room for relaxation.

Soon, the expansion of Brighton Film Studios will add nearly 8,000 square feet to its existing facilities, including design, hair and makeup studios, creative space, a CAD studio, a test shoot area, locker rooms and showers.

Dates of the academic year for undergraduate students:

Enrolment process

In the process of admission, several stages should be performed:

  • Fill in a personal application,
  • Visit the Applicant's Day to provide a creative portfolio (bachelor's degree), pass an interview in person or in the format of an online call via video link (master's degree),
  • Expect an official conditional or unconditional invitation: conditional means that the applicant needs to provide more academic information about himself and his work, and unconditional allows you to start training in the near future,
