Review about Heathfield School Summer School

Nancy
(14.02.2023)
This camp was absolutely terrible. First of all, literally all the staff are very ignorant. They keep children busy with the same sports activities under the scorching sun, leaving absolutely NO time for study or repetition of the material, and most children would prefer this, since many are preparing for final exams. Secondly, older children are forced to stay up until 22:00. Most employees think that children are wild creatures who want to have fun and drink all night, but it is obvious that these employees have either had very little contact with real teenagers or they are absolutely not interested in them. Teenagers get tired. They won't go to bed at 10:00 p.m., but they won't want to be stuck on the Model UN at 10 p.m. either. Thirdly, older children are forbidden to use their phones, because they can thereby "upset younger children" who do not have phones. This is a very stupid rule. The list goes on. This camp brought my daughter to tears several times for many reasons: heat, frankly mean and negligent staff, rude girls. Once she told me that the teacher accused her of lying, which made her very upset, and then later her daughter heard the same teacher laughing at her and insulting her right in front of her. The only good thing about this camp is the horse riding classes.
