TOP-5 most educated countries in the world

TOP-5 most educated countries in the world

Just a few years will pass, and today's youth will rule the world. Their thoughts and actions will be determined by the sum of knowledge and experience, so education can be considered the most reliable and one of the best indicators of the future success of a particular state.

The strongest countries of 2021 in terms of education level allows us to identify a global survey based on the compilation of three weighted ratings, where states are ranked by:

  • The country's ability to provide quality education;
  • A well-developed public education system;
  • The desire of people to receive higher education in the country.

5. France

The country's education system is based on a national curriculum; secondary education is compulsory for all children between the ages of 6 and 16, although most attend kindergartens and many go to higher education.

In the homeland of Voltaire, Descartes and other leaders of human thought, philosophy plays a great role, it is taught even in high school. Every year, high school graduates take the French Baccalaureate exam; this academic exam is a prerequisite for admission to a higher education institution.

4. Canada

Primary and secondary education in the country is free of charge and is compulsory for all minors. In the first class most often go at the age of 5-6 years. The country's constitution delegated regulatory rights and responsibilities to the provinces, but the lack of a centralized system with uniform rules was hardly a problem: students from Canada always score more than average in the testing of OECD international student assessment programs.

In general, everything is quite universal, although the French-speaking province of Quebec requires that students take a two-year course in specialized vocational schools before entering the university.

3. Germany

The concept of kindergartens as a pre-school preparatory system for general compulsory education appeared in Germany. The term was coined by Friedrich Fröbel in 1840.

After completing four grades of primary education, children must decide which path they want for themselves. We are talking about one of the three areas of secondary education:

  • Gymnasium – for those who intend to enter the university;
  • Realschule – those who will choose a career as a white-collar worker in the future;
  • Hauptschule are comprehensive schools for everyone else.

Thus, students in Germany are the first to be faced with the choice of a certain academic direction. According to the OECD, scores in the International Student Assessment Program are noticeably higher than average and tend to increase steadily.

2. United Kingdom

Going to school in the UK is not only a right, but also an obligation of the entire child population aged 5 to 16. Along the way, students go through four phases of the national curriculum.

The differences between modern secondary schools, "sharpened" for real life with its rules and requirements, and classical gymnasiums, where literature and literature are studied mixed with Latin, were eventually leveled by unification. Although each school district (and even more so - parts of the country, whether it is England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland) retained its own programs.

British schoolchildren have average grades in mathematics, science and literature under the OECD assessment program, although, according to information provided by US News, england is home to two of the top ten higher education institutions in the world.

1. USA

The American education system is becoming the best for the second year in a row. In addition, it is the only country at the top of the list that does not have compulsory schooling – therefore, despite the impressive indicators in all rankings, there are illiterate adults here.

School education is funded by federal remittances and state property taxes. Some, like Texas, have special funds. National Bureau of Statistics states that the majority of pupils receive secondary education, and 70% of graduates also receive higher education – in one form or another.

According to international rankings, 8 of the 10 best universities in the world are located in this country.
