TASIS Les Tapies Summer Camp
Description of TASIS Les Tapies Summer Camp
- Students age: 13 to 18.
- TASIS Les Tapies studying intensity: 20 hours per week (basic lessons) + 9 hours (optional elective classes).
TASIS Les Tapies Summer Art School is an excellent option for gifted and creative schoolchildren wishing to show their talents and abilities, to communicate with like-minded people and exchange experiences, to get new valuable knowledge in art and creativity in which they are interested. Also in TASIS Les Tapies, children can qualitatively prepare for entering a profile university: statistics show that many graduates of the camp successfully pass exams and are enrolled in the chosen program of even the most prestigious and ranking universities, mainly these are the areas of culture and art.
In 1956, the founders of the educational institution decided to organize a modern American-style school in the heart of Europe: it was planned to introduce schoolchildren from all over the world the culture, art, history of European countries and simultaneously prepare them for successful admission to prestigious universities in the United States. Today the school is one of the most recognizable, prestigious and popular in the country.
TASIS Les Tapies is deservedly proud of its international atmosphere: in the summer, representatives of more than 50 countries come here! Communication with peers of different nationalities develops a sense of tolerance and mutual respect, acceptance of a third-party point of view, actively promotes the development of communicative and speech skills. In addition, the foreign students are able to differently perceive a particular art form, work or art object - this gives an opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions, broadens the horizon.
The summer camp is located in Northern Provence in the south of France, in a small village of the XVII century Le Tapi. This village carefully preserves and restores the precious features of folk national architecture: a composition of six stone houses as if merges with the surrounding countryside and nature, revealing a stunning view of the nearby foothills of the Alps and the magnificent valley of the Rhone.
