The European Institute of Design (IED) is the world's largest private educational network of specialized institutions that provide studying in 4 main areas (4 faculties are allocated in each institute):

Typically, the Master's degree program takes no more than 1 academic year - in Cagliari IED students are offered the following program:

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

The requirements for applicants differ depending on the chosen program.

1) Basic programs (1 year):

  • TOEFL certificate (450 points) / IELTS 5.0 or its equivalent
  • Secondary education certificate.

2) Undergraduate:

  • TOEFL certificate (500 points) / IELTS 5.5 + 6.0 + Certificate of sufficient knowledge of Language, which will be trained (Italian, from advanced)
  • Secondary education certificate
  • Motivation letter
  • It is advisable to provide a personal portfolio.

3) Master:

  • TOEFL (from 500 points, iBT version from 68) / IELTS 5.5 and above or its analogue
  • Personal portfolio (at least 10-15 works on design with detailed description and date (999.28)
  • Personal resume
  • It is desirable to have work experience of 2 years in the chosen specialty (in some cases it can replace a bachelor's degree)
  • Motivation letter.

4) Summer programs:

  • Advanced level of English.

A package of documents from the entrants For the next year is accepted in the period from December 1 to August 31 (minimum 3 months before the expected start of classes). The package should include:

  • Completed application form strictly in the form of the school
  • Passport and its copy, 4 passport-size photographs
  • Medical certificate
  • A receipt for the prepayment of the training course
  • Certificate of secondary education
  • Certificate of sufficient level of the English language + the language in which the training will be conducted

Additionally, applicants pass a telephone interview with a representative of the Institute, so that he can be convinced of the level of the language.
