University of Westminster Summer Camp on the basis of Westminster University offers adolescents of all skill levels to study programming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cinema, robotics, game design, helps to develop skills that are in demand in employment in companies such as Google, Tesla, Disney. Studying in the camp involves small study  groups, work with the best camp staff, an efficient curriculum that gives unique results.

Summer courses provide an opportunity to immerse in the student life of Westminster University, founded in 1838. Coding and engineering 101

  • Age: 10-12 liters.
  • Tools: JavaScript, micro: bit.

A universal dynamic course combines coding and development: participants will start with the basics of computer and hardware, combine this knowledge with the concepts of object-oriented programming. The second phase of the course includes teaching programming with micro: bit, an interactive handheld computer that can be taken home. Using JavaScript micro: bit can detect movement, send messages, create games. Some students should be ready to develop practical programming skills, work with hardware before starting their studies.

Using the Sequencer, a real-time editing and animation tool, students will create dynamic videos with detailed characters, animations, and sounds. Using their imagination, students will create complex stories.

VR Design with Unity and Oculus Go will teach you how to work with virtual reality Oculus Go - this all-in-one virtual system without wires or cords is combined with Unity, a standard game engine. Develop and Code Games with C ++

  • Age: 13-17 years.
  • Tools: C ++, Microsoft Visual Studio Community.

Develop and Code Games with C ++ will allow students to reach a new level by implementing images in their games and using graphic libraries. They will learn how to create their own arcade games using one of the most popular programming languages in the world. Participants will focus on the implementation of basic artificial intelligence, keyboard and mouse controls, and the interaction of all the basic components of creating a game. Young people will be able to start a career in gaming programming, using the standard edition of Microsoft Visual Studio Community Edition to develop unique projects.

Accommodation, meals, prices

  • Harrow-on-the-Hill offers self-contained accommodation units located in small, purpose-built low-rise buildings surrounded by a garden with shrubs and green lawns. Each unit has its own entrance door, lobby, single bedrooms with bathrooms / double rooms.
  • IQ Raffles House offers rooms with private bathrooms, each building has six rooms, a shared kitchen with an adjoining living room. All bedrooms have 4-foot beds, a desk and a pantry.

The camp staff organizes leisure activities for children on campus and might also organize supervised  excursions off campus. Children might also visit nearby attractions that are walking distance from the camp locations. Scholarships University of Westminster Summer Camp with programming

The goal of the summer camp is to help as many students with financial needs as possible. Participants can apply for the following types of assistance:

  • Individual scholarships
  • Nonprofit Group Scholarships
  • Training discount program.

Some scholarships are sponsored by corporate partners: additional requirements are imposed on them, some programs are specialized. After submitting the application, students receive a response by e-mail, failure to meet the deadlines indicated in the letters will lead to rejection of the application.
