Accommodation, meals, prices

RJC offers international students hostel accommodation and local host families.

Students are accommodated in 2-bed rooms: each room is equipped with two beds, desks, wardrobes, shelves. Living with a roommate creates a sense of belonging and community, but under special circumstances, students may ask for a separate room. Pupils can make the space more like a "home", will use a shared bathroom on the floor (separate for boys and girls).

The dorms are overseen by four staff deans who work to create a supportive environment and monitor the health and well-being of students. Deans act as mentors for students who live on campus, advise them on everyday and personal issues.

International students are provided with places to stay with host families during vacations or weekends in the hostel. These families welcome students to their homes, providing them with support and safety.

Activities Rosthern Junior College

The RJC BELONG program invites all students living in a dormitory or homestay to build a community together. School programs allow students to travel off campus throughout the year, to get acquainted with the culture and landscapes of Canada.

Students take part in school sports - this is a great way to develop athletic ability, practical life skills. Teamwork, collaboration, and leadership are an added challenge to high school sports. When students build confidence on the playground, they build confidence in other areas of life. Every year, RJC athletes are recruited by university and college coaches, some receiving generous scholarships.

RJC offers many opportunities for creative students:

  • Jazz band;
  • Theatrical art;
  • Musical Theatre.
