Rose Bruford College is a well-known British "forge of actors", famous for its love and attention to dramatic art and theater. For example, the famous actor Gary Oldman studied here. Discover London

  • Students' age: 14-18 years old,

  • Duration: 2-4 weeks.

The summer program will allow you to both improve your level of English and get to know London, one of the most interesting cities in the world. All the knowledge gained by the students in the classroom will be immediately tested in real life situations: they will also be helped in this by the incredibly international atmosphere in the camp, both among the staff and among the students.

What is included in the camp shift for each week?

  • 15 hours of English language study,
  • 1 full-day excursion – e.g. to Windsor, Canterbury or Brighton,
  • A few short trips to London, its suburbs, local attractions,
  • A variety of entertainment, walks, extracurricular activities,
  • For students aged 16-18, group self-guided walks around London are available.

Classes are specially formed in small sizes, 10-15 people, so that each student has the opportunity to work individually with the teacher, to take the most useful from each lesson.

What do students do in London?

  • They visit art galleries, museums: the British Museum, the Science Museum, the Tate Modern Gallery, the National Gallery,
  • They go shopping in shopping malls, along the famous shopping streets,
  • Explore the main, world-famous attractions: Buckingham Palace, Nelson's Column, the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament and much more,
  • Watch shows and performances in the legendary theaters of the West End.

Events on campus can address both sports (football, volleyball, lapta, rugby, badminton, basketball) and creativity, arts and crafts (dance, drama, crafts). In the evenings, talent shows and fashion shows, an environmental quest "Scavenger Hunt", discos, karaoke tournaments, quizzes and much more are organized.

Production & Performing Arts

  • Students' age: 14-18 years old,
  • Intensity of classes: 15 hours weekly,
  • Required level to start: from Upper-Intermediate,
  • Duration: 2-4 weeks.

Each week, students study for 15 hours: lessons include acting, sound and audition techniques, design of performances and productions (lighting, scenery, costumes), performing arts and craftsmanship.

In extracurricular hours, excursions around London, its suburbs and suburbs, to other cities are organized for participants of the summer course: every week 1 full-day trip and several half-day trips are planned.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students of the summer courses occupy the rooms of the Christopher Court College residence: these are 168 rooms with bathrooms, which are grouped into apartments of 5-6 rooms, each of these apartments is equipped with its own kitchen. The residence is a 10-minute walk from the academic building, the path runs through a beautiful park, and students are accompanied by staff on the way. There is a round-the-clock reception desk, the territory is fully guarded, the entrance to the residence and rooms are only with individual electronic keys. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and there is an affordable laundry room with dryers.

Students are offered three meals a day, including packed lunches on the days of departures and excursions.

Facilities and equipment at Rose Bruford College Summer Camp

The grounds of Rose Bruford College are located in Sidcup, a southern suburb of London, near the picturesque Lamorbey Park. This is a beautiful, well-groomed area, founded in the XVI century, where it is pleasant to walk in any weather, sit in the shade of trees or by the pond where birds nest and fish live.

The main building of the college, Lamorbey House, is listed as a Grade II listed building, but at the same time it is perfectly modernized and prepared for modern, comfortable learning. It has cozy bright classrooms for classes, its own round theater with 330 seats, the Barn theater with 100 seats, an outdoor stage, and multi-purpose sports grounds. The Sidcup entertainment center will offer several options for pastime at once, including mini-football, table tennis and basketball, hockey, swimming. With beautiful views of the nearby lake, it's both a secluded, tranquil campus for focused studies and close access to all the benefits and attractions of London.

Literally opposite is the train station, from which you can get to central London in just 20 minutes. Distance to other iconic places and cities:

  • Brighton = 1 hour,
  • Windsor = 1 hour,
  • Cambridge = 1 hour 15 minutes,
  • Airports: Heathrow = 55 minutes, Gatwick = 40 minutes, London City = 30 minutes, Stansted = 55 minutes,
  • St Pancras Railway Station = 55 minutes, Charing Cross = 20 minutes.
