Richard Bland College - College, founded in 1960, is named after Virginia statesman Richard Bland. Initially, the institution was created by the General Assembly of Virginia as a branch of the College of William and Mary, and although today the college operates independently, it is still managed by the Board of Trustees of William and Mary.

The Richard Bland College campus covers more than 750 acres of land on which one of the largest walnut groves throughout Virginia is located.
