Richard Bland College - College, founded in 1960, is named after Virginia statesman Richard Bland. Initially, the institution was created by the General Assembly of Virginia as a branch of the College of William and Mary, and although today the college operates independently, it is still managed by the Board of Trustees of William and Mary.

RBC offers students a wide selection of academic courses and programs that will give students a good foundation for studying the humanities with the prospect of higher education in this field. College graduates receive a junior specialist diploma, which equates to the first two years of receiving a bachelor's degree.

  • Residences Freedom and Patriot Hall. Here, accommodation types of apartments are offered: 2-3-4-room apartments for one person, 8-bed rooms for 2 people, including bedrooms with a bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe (according to the number of residents), a furnished large living room, equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, oven), private bathroom. The territory has good security and parking spaces.
  • Residence Commerce Hall. A more traditional format of a student dormitory with furnished rooms (bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers) for 1-2-3 people and a shared bathroom on the floor. The building has a dryer and a washing machine, equipped cable TV and the Internet, computer laboratories.

The cost of living in residences varies from $ 9,840 to $ 11,640 for one academic year.

Students living in a dormitory must purchase a minimum meal plan in the college cafeteria. The standard meal plan includes 14 meals each week (half board every day - breakfast and lunch / dinner). You can also choose a meal plan with 19 meals (full board, three times a day).

Facilities and equipment at Richard Bland College

The Richard Bland College campus covers more than 750 acres of land on which one of the largest walnut groves throughout Virginia is located. Also, the Asian Water Garden is set right on the college grounds, nature trails for walking and several historical sites are located. All this makes the college campus a very beautiful place.

The infrastructure of the college includes educational buildings, residences, a canteen, sports grounds, walking areas, the Richard Blend Library, a sports hall with indoor sports grounds.

The academic year at Richard Bland College lasts from January to December of the calendar year and includes three trimesters, after which the winter holidays begin:

  • Spring: January 13-May 13
  • Summer: May 18-June 15, June 16-August 8
  • Autumn: August 10-December 21.

The deadline for submitting applications for the spring semester is until January 9, for the autumn semester - until August 1.
