Moreton Hall Private School
Description of Moreton Hall Private School
One of the most famous, prestigious and successful British private schools, Moreton Hall works through a system of mixed education: girls (4-18 years) and boys (4-11 years) can study here. There is a spacious campus near the small cozy town of Oswestry: this is the historic district of the developed Shropshire county, almost on the border of North Wales and England. Getting to the international airports in Birmingham and Manchester is possible in just an hour, which greatly facilitates the children's transfer and travel.
The Morton Hall School was founded in 1913 by the Lloyd-Williams family and still belongs to their descendants, retaining their status as a private boarding school. Girls at school can complete a full cycle of school education, being in an educational institution from 4 to 18 years. And in 2007, on the campus basis, a kindergarten was opened for toddlers 1-4 years old - First Steps Nursery: it became one more division of the school besides the standard ones:
- Moreton First: 7-11 years
- Secondary school (11-13 years)
- Senior classes
- Sixth Form (15-18 years).
In addition, Moreton Hall employs a special International Educational Center for foreign students. Here, foreign students receive comprehensive support and assistance in adaptation: for them, there are separate cozy residences, a canteen, effective academic programs and interesting leisure activities. The center was opened in 2005 and every year receives up to 50 foreign students (both girls and boys): classes are conducted year-round, including holidays and weekends. For the needs of the Center there is a separate modern, fully equipped building.
In general, the board is available to children from 8 years of age. There is also the option of a full board, which is customary for schools in Great Britain (children live and study on campus 7 days a week), a week or part board (children leave home or host families). According to statistics, the older the student, the more attractive and convenient for him the board: approximately 90% of the pupils of the senior classes choose a full board and permanently reside on the campus.
