Description of Lucton School
- Location: Lakton, Herefordshire, United Kingdom
- Age of students: 8 to 18 years old
- Total number of students: 315 people (approximately 12% are international students)
- Accommodation type: residence (boarding house)
- Type of training: mixed
- Language of instruction: English.
As early as 1708, the famous London wine merchant John Piermont founded the Lucton School in order to instill in children key Christian values, moral norms. Today, the school learns about 315 boys and girls, and the school is very loyal to international students - they make up about 12% of the total number of children, but there is a quota for the number of students from one country, one nationality. This allows you to respect cultural diversity, and preserve the traditional "old" English school with this spirit.
The intensity of education is usually 25 lessons per week. For international students, a special integration program is developed and taught, allowing foreign children to quickly adapt to the new cultural, national and language environment, quickly find friends among the British, get used to living on the classic English campus. There are also additional lessons of English as a foreign language (minimum 2 per week), for a fee, the number of classes can be increased if necessary.
What makes British schools so special for families around the world?
— British Secondary School gives children the opportunity to try different subjects during GCSE programs (high school course for children aged 14-15) and determine the priority direction for themselves when entering the university. Moreover, the certificate of the British school gives the opportunity to enter the most famous and respected universities in the world, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT, etc. At the same time, the educational model at secondary schools in England teaches children to think critically, work with information correctly, organize their time, and approach any issues structurally. And, of course, a teacher in England is a friend who helps to maximize the child's potential, work with his strengths. The student is listened to, his opinion is important.

All disciplines for a personal curriculum are chosen by the student independently from a fairly extensive list. Teachers and consultants, tutors are always ready to help students determine their priorities: such academic concentration helps to maximally deepen knowledge primarily in the disciplines that the student plans to study at the university in the chosen specialty.

She thinks that reputation and recommendation are important for most schools, but the problem in the rankings is a focus only on the best students. The "average" student often does not receive additional support, which he needs more than an excellent student!
