Master's Programs

IMIS offers two Master's Degree Specializations in Health Care:

  • Marketing
  • Regulation.

The curriculum of both specialties includes lectures and practice to acquire applied skills. For international students, there are special conditions for studying:

  • 6 months of full-time courses (from October to March) at the Lyon campus, allowing you to master the basics of the professional field,
  • 6 months of full-time internship (from April to September) in France or abroad.

The goal of Master's programs is to professionalize students and acquire specific specialized skills:

  • Scientific expertise,
  • General knowledge of business life,
  • Business expertise.

Students are taught under the guidance of professionals who have many years of experience in the healthcare industry. In one academic year, students will be prepared for the start of their careers, having competitive knowledge and applied skills.

For the first four months, the student pays tuition fees, including taxes and travel to the U.S. For the next 8-10 months, the student will no longer have to pay anything, as the cost of the program will be covered by the company providing the internship place.

For these purposes, the institute offers a 10-day business trip to the United States to meet with industry professionals, exchange contacts and recommendations, gain new experience and applied skills. Trips take place several times a year and are available to academically successful, interested students.

IMIS has a special interest in the creation of individual projects by students, so it develops partnerships with student associations of the faculties of pharmacy and natural sciences. The institute is located on the HEP Lyon – René Cassin campus.
The educational area of 22,500 square meters was created by IGS Group in 2004, today it unites 23 specialized schools, including IMIS, in its spaces.

Academic classes take place in large and bright classrooms, specialized laboratories and open spaces, which enriches the learning environment of students. From the special places on campus:

  • Place des Incubateurs is a site of more than 180 square meters, designed for creating projects and implementing ideas, coworking and independent work. There are four systems dedicated to the study of entrepreneurial activity,
  • A 420-square-meter workspace prepared for group work and research. In the room you can find more than 12,000 scientific papers, French and international press, access electronic databases,
  • Educational laboratory with advanced pedagogical technologies: MOOC, Business and Serious Games, Flipped Classroom and others. It is equipped with hardware, smart whiteboards, video projectors, robotic systems and technological software packages that facilitate the learning process.

Admission dates and extra charges

The school year lasts from autumn to mid-summer. Students visit the campus on weekdays, weekends and international, national holidays are provided for recreation.

Enrolment process

The admission procedure to IMIS can be organized in an online format. Candidates will have to go through several stages:

  • Payment of registration fees,
  • Invitation to the entrance exams (no later than 72 hours after sending the application form),
  • English language test, interview with a member of the admissions committee,
  • Getting the result within a week and starting your studies.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

For admission to IMIS programs, international applicants should provide:

  • Personal documents: passport, visa or residence permit, health insurance,
  • Academic documents: diplomas and certificates of previous places of study. For example, to enroll in a master's program, a candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a related field,
  • Certificate confirming the level of English proficiency not lower than IELTS 6.0-6.5.

Individual achievements, work experience, and letters of recommendation will be a plus to the documents provided and increase the chance of admission.
