IGEFI is a business school of corporate finance. Seniority dates back to the accounting school founded in 1847. Having gone through a series of reorganizations, it acquired its current name and is now engaged in the education of specialists in the field of accounting, finance, social management and payroll calculations - the most important functions for any enterprises and organizations, regardless of size, turnover, number of employees or field of activity.

  • Accounting Sector

The sector of chartered accountants has a significant, sacred role in the history of the educational institution, being the successor of the Association of Professional Accountants - the oldest corporation and self-regulatory organization in the field of accounting in France, founded in 1847 in Paris.

  • Sector of Management and Finance

It is designed to meet the demand of small and medium-sized businesses for the education of specialists who are able to obtain reliable information about the work of the enterprise, give meaning to the activities, optimize management and assess the profitability and profitability of the organization in order to contribute to its development.

  • Salary and Social Management Sector

Graduates of this direction are engaged in the management of the main financial flows of the organization related to payroll, as well as interaction with the state and trade union organizations.

Bachelor's Degree Bac+3

The Bac+3 level training programme provides basic training. Professionals who graduate from this program usually work on long-term or permanent contracts in large companies or groups of companies.

IGEFI prepares bachelors:

Facilities and equipment at IGEFI, Institute of Financial Management and Studies

IGEFI campuses are located in four different cities in France – Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes and Dakar, Senegal.

The Paris campus is the oldest, located in a beautiful and spacious building in the center of La Défense, in the heart of the economic, financial and business capital of France, a few steps from the numerous offices of transnational corporations located here. Students can count on a modern and high-quality educational environment, 68 lecture halls and classrooms, a computer center for 500 cars, high-speed Internet access, a multidisciplinary laboratory.

Campus of Lyon Lyon – René Cassin – is home to 19 educational institutions of various profiles and 6 thousand students. On campus there are 110 classrooms and auditoriums, 800 computers of various types, a full-fledged multimedia center, a cafeteria and a dining room, an E-campus (intranet with access to educational and methodological materials, lecture schedules, etc.). The campus is located in the central part of the city, 380 meters from the multimodal bus station and the Gorge de Loup metro station.

The Bordeaux campus is located in the central part of New Aquitaine, in an ancient cultural, industrial city, which, in addition, preserves its history, origin, magnificent vineyards and rich commercial and maritime past. The building is the most modern in the IGEFI network, it was built and put into operation less than ten years ago. The area is over 2000 sq.m., which is enough to accommodate dozens of classrooms, a business incubator, a computer center, a food court, several laboratories and a cozy, quiet library with 6500 volumes and 28 periodicals. Potentially, the advantages of accommodation in this area will become even greater; this is due to the Cité du vin and the opening in the mid-twenties of the Museum of the Sea and the Navy.

The campus in Nantes accommodates several hundred students and serves as a platform for six other educational institutions. It is located in the economic and business center of an ancient, but at the same time dynamically developing city, tied to a number of infrastructure, research and creative projects.

Finally, the Dakar Camp cwas opened following a partnership agreement between IGEFI and the Inter-African Institute for Insurance and Management Education, the leading insurance education institution in West and Central Africa. As part of the partnership with IGEFI, students can take the first two courses in Dakar and the third at one of the French campuses.

All campuses are equipped with the necessary equipment to provide modern educational services of the highest class:

  • Computers;
  • Interactive whiteboards and projectors;
  • Copying equipment that allows you to work with sources in format up to A2 inclusive.

On the territory of all campuses there are food courts with one or more cafeterias, canteens.

Enrolment process

Candidates who are not registered in the Parcoursup system can send an application to the campus where they want to study. In this case, students must pass the selection tests (the procedure and content are the same for all IGEFI campuses), and then pass an interview with the selection committee. In case of a positive decision, students receive an invitation to the entrance exams, divided into two stages:

  • Motivational interview,
  • Testing (the set of disciplines depends on the chosen direction of study).

When submitting an application, applicants pay a non-refundable fee of 50 euros; in case of enrollment, it is taken into account in the fee for the first semester.

Perspectives

Specialization and professional orientation generally correspond to the main specialties chosen by the school: accounting, management and finance, salary, social management, although IGEFI graduates successfully realize themselves in all areas of activity.

After graduation, students can occupy such vacancies as:

  • Control manager (company performance studies, data collection and systematization, analysis and presentation);
  • Accountant (business advice on financial strategy, optimization);
  • Auditor (an independent controller whose mission is to check the correctness of operations for compliance with the rules of accounting and taxation);
  • Financial Director (manages the financial department, participates in strategic developments, presents the results to management);
  • Salary and Social Management Manager (engaged in production and consulting in terms of personnel and payroll);
  • Consolidation specialist (assesses the economic situation of groups of companies and affiliation with subsidiaries, consolidating a single balance sheet);
  • Glavbukh (support of clients at the level of strategic decision-making with a bias in the management aspect and team management);
  • Accountant-assistant (daily accounting support);
  • Accounting Manager (ensuring accounting and personnel control);
  • Finance and Administration Manager;
  • Financial manager (creation of computer and mathematical models that underlie the investment strategy of the organization).
