The Eurospeak Southampton Language School was opened on October 22nd, 2018 and became the second Eurospeak School in the UK. Eurospeak Southampton Hotel is housed in a historic 4-story building, not far from Central Station and downtown Southampton, opposite the city’s largest green area, Watts Park.

The main goal of the center is to open to all students the opportunity to learn English and improve their life, having mastered the skills necessary for success. Helping program participants to master the English language, the linguistic center seeks to maintain harmonious relations between students from different countries, to form a respectful attitude to cultural and national characteristics.

General English - 15 hours / week

Students planning to attend the General English course take a test to determine the starting level of language proficiency:

  • Elementary (CEFR: A1) - basic knowledge of English
  • Pre-Intermediate (CEFR: A2) - general knowledge, small vocabulary
  • Intermediate (CEFR: B1) - understanding and use of most of the basic structures of the English language
  • Upper-Intermediate (CEFR: B2) - for students who want to develop their knowledge, acquire greater accuracy and fluency, use English as a tool for everyday communication
  • Advanced (CEFR: C1) - for students who want to learn a higher level of English, quickly and accurately communicate.

The course helps to improve 4 basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading, writing.

The program includes exercises for training grammar, expanding vocabulary, improving communication skills.

Activities of the course help students to confidently use the acquired language skills, include communication of students of all ages, cultures, nationalities, backgrounds.

Course participants buy a textbook: they can be ordered at the reception in the language center.

Conversational English - 21 hours / week - from 183 £

Conversational English course is aimed at students with a level of English from Elementary (CEFR: A1 / A2) to Advanced (CEFR: B1 / B2 / C1). Participants will develop communication skills, expand their vocabulary, and overcome the language barrier.

Writing Class - 23h. - from 199 £

Students in the Writing Class program must be proficient in English from Elementary (CEFR: A1 / A2) to Advanced (CEFR: B1 / B2 / C1). Classes are aimed at developing written language skills.

IELTS Exam Preparation Classes - 19 hours / week

Participants in IELTS Exam Preparation Classes programs must be proficient in English at a level no lower than Intermediate (CEFR: B1). Participants will learn useful exam strategies, work out 4 language skills - reading, writing, speaking, listening. Pupils will increase vocabulary, improve grammatical indicators according to the level of students, take part in mock exams, evaluate their progress, use videos, documents of real exams. The program will improve knowledge of the English language, will allow you to get the required grade on the exam, apply to leading foreign universities.

Cambridge First Certificate (FCE) Exam Preparation

The Cambridge First Certificate (FCE) exam preparation program is aimed at students with a language proficiency of at least CEFR: B2. Students who successfully pass the exam demonstrate a high level of competence, understanding, communication in oral, written English.

Cambridge Advanced (CAE) Exam Preparation

Preparation for the Cambridge Advanced Exam (CAE) requires a level of English proficiency of at least CEFR: C1. Cambridge Extended Certificate (CAE) is a high-level qualification for candidates who want to use English for professional or educational purposes. After passing the CAE exam, students will be able to obtain a certificate confirming their language skills.

Admission dates and extra charges

Classes begin on any Monday of the month, applications are accepted year-round.

General English course participants purchase a textbook worth £ 25-30. After completing the program, the student can sell it to another student.
