BSC Edinburgh is one of the study centers of the British Study network, located in the Scottish capital. Previously, the educational institution had a different name - Edinburgh Language Center - and today it is the only school in the country that is accredited by the Eaquals Education Association. The institution is distinguished by a comfortable environment, modern technical equipment, qualified teaching staff and a favorable location in the center of the capital.

Edinburgh private school will allow students and teenagers from different countries to combine learning English in their natural environment and study tours of city locations and historical places. A trip to the famous Loch Lomond Lake or a trip to the city of Sterling will help you to see the picturesque landscapes of Scotland and enjoy the local culture.

General English

The standard course of General English includes 15 academic hours each week. Typically, lessons are held in the morning, and after lunch, students can join the entertainment program or relax, chatting with peers. Classes are held in groups of 15 people. A specially designed curriculum covers all the main sections of the English language: conversation, listening, writing and reading. Students also study such important sections as grammar, vocabulary and correct pronunciation. Such a program helps to quickly improve fluency and correct speech for foreign students for whom English is not native.

Accommodation, meals, prices

There are two options for staying while studying at BSC Edinburgh:

  • Dormitory (only for groups). A modern school residence is located 15-25 minutes on the main bus route of the city. A single room or a room with a separate bathroom and toilet is available in the student dormitory. There is also a common lounge with a game table, TV and study areas. Meals for living in a hostel are organized in full board format. Cost - 950 £ per week.
  • Homestay This type of placement will allow students to constantly practice spoken English in real conditions. In host families, students are offered separate rooms from 1 to 3 people with a shared bathroom and toilet. Meals at full board (twice in the family, lunch at school). Host families are selected by the center and can live in different areas of Edinburgh, but the journey time to school will not exceed 55 minutes. Scottish families with different statuses can host international students, all of them are invariably friendly and caring. Cost - 695 £ per week.

Also, the school’s nutrition plan includes the issuance of packaged lunches for students during field events.

Every day, various cultural and recreational events are held for students of the BSC Edinburgh summer program, both on and off the school. The former include daytime (up to 5 per week) or evening events (usually 2 per week), which take place on the premises of the school. The period of the summer educational programs at the BSC Edinburgh Center for foreign students and adolescents from 12 to 17 years starts from June 30 and ends on August 11. Arrivals and departures take place on Sundays, and the curriculum begins on Monday.
